Another chance for a Fifty Phantoms

I posted the other day about ordering my Fifty Phantoms and it looks like Spinnaker heard all your concerns and decided to release another color variant for the customers that weren’t able to purchase their watch.

In their Instagram post, they acknowledge that they weren’t prepared for the demand and mistakes were made. They are opening up pre-orders for this blue watch to help get one to everyone that wanted the watch and also to help reduce the scalping taking place online.

Seems like the brand is going to great lengths to give value to their customers. They definitely didn’t have to do this

I love that they are doing their best to make things right for their customers.

How much was the original black version?

I paid $445 for the Ghost Gray Bezel, but they included a discount code in the email that morning that I missed. I was rushing to get my watch ordered before they went out of stock and I didn't notice the discount. I will be emailing them once I actually receive my watch to see if they can refund the portion that should have been discounted.

If It's only available through a 50-hour window, how is it a non-limited edition? 🤷

Well, since they aren't capping the number but are willing to accept as many orders as will be placed during the window, it's not limited, per se.

Yes, it's semantics, but this is the line they probably have to walk between what the public wants and what the designer/collaborator wants.

And let's face it, it's a gimmicky watch. After Halloween, demand for it would drop significantly.

Right. Limited to the amount of pre-orders they receive. If someone who wanted it isn't paying attention and misses the two-day window, I guess they are SOL. 😂

I never cared for limited editions. It's kind of a big FU to the working man, who might not immediately have the funds to drop on something he likes. Doesn't bother me because I don't know who this seconde seconde guy is, or why the watch world is embracing him. I do like this better then the Timex releases, although that's not saying much.

The Timex releases are strange to me, as are some of his earlier designs. I just don't get slapping a hamburger on a watch lol. This on the other hand is something special and that's clearly why it blew up

There were only 670 watches to sell in the first wave, this window is open to any customer that missed out on the watch. They aren't capping the orders. Theoretically the demand for scalped watches should be 0 because anyone that wants this watch should be able to get one now.

Sure to go over big with those who paid extra for the LE.

Big deal it's a different color.

Plus they'll have your money for 4 months.

I think with the discount code they provided the first time, it should be the same price. Unless you are like me and completely forgot about the discount code lol. I'll be emailing them.

The Gray and Black are the more desirable models, so I think it's ok as long as the pricing is the same.

The moment I got over my initial frustration and realized what happened, I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt for not preparing for a launch like this. I can’t imagine that feeling as a business owner. Kudos to them for doing this.

Was excited but then I saw delivery is not until March 2024

I assume they are starting the entire manufacturing process over again with this run

Appreciate everyone’s feedback on this topic. We spent a long time reviewing the best option/outcome as we know there were a lot of you who were disappointed.

@stevey2023 sorry for your previous issues - could you please DM me and I’ll see what I can do to help.

How about instead of "50 Phantoms", go for "300 ft" with 300 tiny feet all over the dial?

If you go for it I'll happily take number 300 as my commission.

They will make as many as are ordered. This is limited availablity not limited edition.

To-mā-to, to-mah-to.

I just don’t understand why it is 43mm with a lug to lug of 51mm. Those dimensions really are scaring me

·

I mean not really. Last time there was a chance you miss out. With this there is no chance you miss out if you want one. Pretty significant difference.

If you miss the ordering window, you miss out.🤷 It's not a full production run, therefore it's limited. Like I said above, that number is determined by the amount of customers who order it. You can word it however you want. I'm not worried about it, I don't want one.

It is a bit big but so is the Blancpain to be fair

Can we get a 50 Draculas for next year?

Saved this bit of feedback :) let’s get through this Phantom Blue campaign first and ensure we don’t hit anymore hurdles!

Hi guys! I also had a rubbish customer service experience with Spinnaker. I bought a limited edition Croft skeleton watch, and the bezel was seriously misaligned. Customer service told me it was 'within their quality control tolerances' ...

·

How do you like it?

Love it! But the bezel is misaligned lol
