Seattle and Other Things That Capture My Heart. A Post Meetup Breakdown

Up early and packing for the flight home to Los Angeles while my better half Rebecca gets a little more shut eye. We came to Seattle for a wedding celebration and Halloween Party hence the photo of Rebecca dressed as Holly Golightly from "A Breakfast at Tiffany's".

I'm taking this opportunity to drop a few lines and post a few pics during a quiet moment in what will be an otherwise frenetic travel day.

The Seattle Timeworks Meetup and Eureka! restaurant gathering can best be described as entirely successful. Organizing a Seattle event from Los Angeles proved to be a lot easier when PNW partners stepped up to assist.

A big shout out to Judy from Timeworks for being a great host for an event that materialized in just a few short weeks. Her shop ended up getting swamped by the WC Meetup but her and staff of watch enthusiasts handled it with graceful generosity.

Image

One of the wonderful things that makes Timeworks a resource for Seattle watch geeks is the fact that the sales associates are each and everyone an enthusiast first.

I wish I could acknowledge each Timeworks associate by name but I'm fearful of leaving someone out so suffice it to say they were all consummate professionals. Their knowledge and ability to engage was key in how well this meetup turned out.

Crunchers came from a pretty wide area. While Rebecca and I traveled the furthest the award for the longest trip goes to @Fieldwalker who drove down from...(drum roll please)...Vancouver Canada!!!

Image

@The_Timist offered up all kinds of assistance and hung out for both the Timeworks event and Eureka! gathering. He represented the best of Seattle and warmed the edge off of the infamous Seattle chill. I'm confident his photography skills will shame mine but I'm looking forward to seeing them nonetheless.

Timeworks got a little busy at times but refreshments and gift bags were on hand as a welcome diversion while attendees waited to try on watches.

Image

Some guy named @Max showed up briefly claiming to represent WatchCrunch. He even tossed out a few WC Nato straps in a bold effort to convince us all but I've met Max before and this one seemed a little AI.😁

Image

After Timeworks a large portion of the Cruncher attendees and Timeworks staff headed over to Eureka! where burgers and beers were the most common conversation companions.

Looking forward to others posting photos and comments. I hear my better half stirring so I'd better close for now. I've always loved Seattle and many of its people. Hope to cross paths with other Crunchers somewhere down the line until then Be Well!❤

Looks like a great time was had by all. Timeworks looks like an especially fun place to hangout. Thanks for all the photos. That Oris is outstanding. Nicely done as usual. Cheers!

Way out of my price range but the Seiko MM300 LX is probably my dream watch

We were so fortunate to have you make the trek as your participation elevated the experience for Rebecca and I. May our paths cross again!

How do we learn about the meet ups? Been trying to find folks to connect with our here in Seattle.

You can see when Crunchers are gathering by hitting the subject directory at the upper left corner of the page then selecting "Meetups" which is the last choice at the bottom of the menu.

Rebecca recommended the website utopiat.com as a good resource for a Holly Golightly costume. Happy hunting! 👍

What an incredible day - I had an absolute blast hanging out with everyone! Huge props to you @FlatteryCamp and Rebecca for organizing the event 🤝 of, and for bringing some truly stunning watches along for the ride!

First class Crunchers showed up, and an alright dude by the name of @Max which was very cool! Of course the atmosphere was incredible as was the space and treats/refreshments thanks to @JudyTimeworks and her incredible team 👍

Oh, and @Fieldwalker my Snoopy may have caught your eye, but your JDM GS has stolen my heart, WOW! Thank you for bringing a fantastic collection to the meet-up for us to check out and enjoy!

Thanks for the memories, I'm working on a handful of videos so stay tuned for this one to get uploaded in the next few weeks - we should do this again soon ❤

I'm definitely interested in continuing these watch gatherings in Seattle on a regular basis since I'm frequently there anyway.

Other parties, enthusiast and professional, are already reaching out wanting to partner up on future Seattle events so the sky's the limit.
