Tank watches

Hi cartier tank watches are high on my mind at the moment...tgv doing what he does best. Also deeperblue has one and it looks great.

Unfortunately I can't afford one but I do own 2 tank style watches.

Does anyone own any?

Cartier or other?

I own at least six or seven (some veer into the cushion case lane). Even at 24mm they read as well as a 32mm round dial.

You're not alone. A Tank or a tank-case watch has been on my mind as well. Of course, I went and bought something else. More on that this weekend, hopefully. I had a tank-shaped Guess that my wife (then girlfriend) bought for me when we were dating. I loved that watch. Unfortunately, it got stolen during a home burglary. I never replaced it with its kind. I think it's time I do. @Aurelian has a fantastic collection of tank-shaped watches. If you're looking into adding more of that shape to your collection, draw inspiration from him. You won't be disappointed.

I've got a little Seiko and a bigger Casio that are kinda reminiscent of Tank style watches. Total price for these 2 was 45€, hardly Cartier money haha

I like how clean the seiko dial is.

Thanks for sharing them

I can’t stop thinking about tanks as well. Being new and researching them feels like trying to drink out of a fire hydrant haha.

Cartier? Vintage/pre-owned? Quartz? Do I miss out on anything going to Cartier specifically? Solar beat? sizing? Must/colorful ones? lol

I don't know about "fantastic", more like "serviceable" (pun intended).

Love mine. Nothing like looking at your wrist and seeing a century of heritage.

I have a couple vintage ones but would like to have a solid gold tank francaise or Americaine someday if I become obscenely wealthy

You’re too humble, good sir.

Very nice... heritage is a thing you have to earn and a hundred year old design certainly has

1st Classe quartz chronometer. ‘Just’ a fashion watch, but this one has a special place in my collection, as it was sent home as a gift by my daughter when she was deployed overseas. I also think it is pretty attractive and comfortable.

I also have this lovely Rodania that I got for £5 off eBay 👌 (Maybe more Santos than Tank)

I've also seen folks post pictures of the awesome Seiko, Casio and Longines options.
