SOTC a mission accomplished
I’ve been into watches for over 25 years. Years ago, I had an idea of what would be my ideal collection. I settled a lot over that time going for watches close to what I wanted, and I’ve had a lot of fun through the journey. I have my 3 musts. Date, at least 100m water resistant, and minimum 40mm max 44mm.
When I finally got the #1 on my list, my Rolex Submariner Date, it was, and is, as perfect a watch for what I want in my collection.
I knew at some point I’d want the Polar Explorer II for a great contrast. That finally arrived last month.
A few years ago I got the Panerai 1312. An awesome watch for versatility, especially with all the strap options. Fun watch that changes things up.
I feel the IWC Mark XX is my favorite blue dial. The bracelet is one of the most innovative I’ve had on a watch, and the EaseXchange lets me change straps.
2 Tag Carrera’s. Tag Heuer has always been one of my favorite brands. The Glassbox Reverse Panda breaks my 40mm rule, but wears like a 40mm and such a classic design with a modern touch. The CronotempVs Collectors Carrera 74 has one of the best dials I’ve seen on a Tag.
This has been the perfect 6 watch collection for me, and kind of my end game on the high end of my collection.

Thank you! The Sub sits at the very top of the collection as my all time favorite. If I were forced to sell all but 1 watch to have for the rest of my life, it would 100% be the Sub.

That is my all time favorite tag. I think that’s the case because to me it looks more like zenith designed than tag😂

2 great watches to try out. I had the bronze Spitfire for a couple years, that was a great watch, but I find the Mark XX can be worn anywhere anytime.
