IWC Mark XX 3rd times a charm
I first heard about the Mark XX in this group. My AD got them pretty quick after release. It hadn’t been available yet on Bracelet, so I had bought the Blue dial on dark blue leather. I preferred brown leather and preferred steel over that. I had an issue with the way the straps fit between the lugs, it was very tight and the leather marked up bad bumping against the case with the easXchange. I brought it back and at the time upgraded to the Chrono41.
I had traded that at some point, and a few months later, they released it on the bracelet. I called my AD, and owned it for awhile before I impulsively traded it which I regretted. I kept getting this periodic bug in my brain to get it back, and so today I did, and I’m not letting it go again. I love everything about this watch.

It’s a known issue. Nothing negatively affecting the movement mechanically, just annoying when trying to stop the watch when fast to calibrate it with your phone.

Then how do you set the time?
I saw that the Oris 400 caliber, with the same problem, recommends moving the minute hand first forward and then back, and only then it will not jump. Does this technique work with IWC?
I am considering Ingenieur for purchase and so far the only thing that stops me is this stupid calibers problem.
If the minute hand jumps, I just have to realign it and set the time like normal.

If I didn’t have a white DJ, I would had entertained that option for sure!
