another SOTC?!

I always admire the collections that are posted. Not really sure that my collection is worthy of a post. I collect modestly priced pieces. Maybe my collection method is unique? Maybe slightly ridiculous? But that might describe this whole pursuit.

I made these watch trays. Each tray holds 4 watches. Ideally each tray is a complete collection onto itself. Each tray has something slightly dressy, a sports watch (GADA), an interesting complication, and a tool watch. Each tray has 1 micro/independent maker and not more than 1 Seiko.

Hmmm, too many rules???

and the last tray in 2 photos because the Oris refuses to play along.

Thanks for looking and posting.

Rest assured that your SOTC is 100% post worthy. Very cool too. I like your unique taste. I have a Dan Henry 1970 where did you source the bracelet?

Fantastic collection Brian. Glad to see that you still have the Oris. Happy Holidays.

Hey thanks! I really appreciate your comment. The bracelet is from Stapcode. I wrote about it recently.

Eh? That's a great collection, and nice work on the boxes.

I’m just going to pile on here and say that’s an amazing collection, what makes you think otherwise? I also like how you’ve laid it out as 4 mini collections as that allows us to see all of them. By the way what’s that first quartz watch, and I’m guessing the dot marks the hour and the line the minute?

·

I could definitely see my collection being a smaller version of this. I've got the oceanus and CW, the alpinist and a Nomos are on my list and one of the few rolex I like is blue if I'm ever lucky enough.

Very cool collection

Your rules seem ridiculous but I can't argue with the results. Your collection is fantastic. Maybe I need to find a set of rules. I've nearly pulled the trigger on that same Oris. It's my favorite of your collection (that Vaer D5 is a close 3nd) so I'm glad it got it's own photo 😂

Cool collection! I really enjoy the first and the last tray.

Thanks for writing. That first quartz watch is marked on the back "Danish design by Georg Christensen Copenhagen, Made in Germany". I think it's what we would call today a fashion watch. I bought it in 1986 to celebrate the finishing of my BFA degree and the birth of my first son.
