Hey Crunchers, is anyone familiar with Selectron watches? I've done a bit of digging on the internet and it appears to have been an offering from a Ollech & Wajs company from Zurich in the 1950's and 60's. The Ollech & Wajs name seems to have been brought back to life with an offering of a few nice looking watches.
The Selectron company is now an independent brand?? It is less than obvious where they are, but I believe Hong Kong.
Navigation/wrist computation watches are of mild interest with examples like the Flight Master, Nighthawk, and even the Lunar Pilot. This is the first time Ive seen the Selectron. I like the minimal graphic treatment.
I suspect these are a Chinese watch under an unprotected name. But I don't know.
Do any of you have experience with these. Are they unsung gems? Or bad replicas? Not sure I want to own one, just curious.
