Munich bound

Hey watch family, next week I will be in Munich Germany for a short stay (in route to some skiing). I thought while I was there I might have a chance to look at watches ๐Ÿ™‚ Any recommendations? Thanks in advance for sharing your experience.

Been to Munich many times, but I have never watch shopped there. However, there should be plenty of ADs and boutiques downtown. Similar to Salzburg you run into them even if you're not specifically looking.

But sorry, never bought while I was traveling, and I was there last June.

Thanks. I have also been there many times (Love that city!) but not since I started collecting watches. I am sure there will be plenty of AD's. I am wondering if there are any hidden gems for second hand watches :)

Salzburg! You spend time in Austria. My wife is Austrian, we get back there as often as we can for some amazing skiing.

Happy future travels

Last time I was there Oberpollinger on the ground floor had many watches (I think it's technically Bucherer) and I have seen good sales on a few Omega ๐Ÿ˜

The Blancpain boutique, although small, might have interesting stuff (at least some perpetual calendars) and in my experience will let you look at very nice and expensive watches even if you are not there to buy them. They are just bored, especially on workday mornings...

Iโ€™m driving Munich a few times a year. Look for AD Wempe, they are very professional and customer-oriented! 5min in same direction to Marienplatz you find Bucherer Certified-Preowned Boutique is every time a visit worth! Panerai Boutique is not ver big, but the staff is very friendly and itโ€˜s not too busy. Omega is also very nice to visit - super friendly and helpful staff! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Ask for Mr. Held at Wempe WeinstraรŸe, he's a very polite and great to chat to sales rep. Fridrich at SendlingerstraรŸe is great as well. I also recommend to visit the Richard Mille boutique, as far as i know it is the only one in Germany, the staff is very friendly and not snobby at all and you get a free brandbook if you ask politely. The staff at Bulgari is also very friendly. I would not recommend Christ, the service is usually quite poor and the staff is not really schooled.
