Over the past few years I've bought a bunch of nato straps, put them on watches, and well, never really liked them. I always admire how folks put expensive watches (in my world) on a nato so casually. When I see them I think "wow, that looks great". Somehow I always feel like my watches look toy-like on a nato.
Just got this one yesterday and it could be a keeper! I'll see how I feel in a week.
What's your relationship with a nato?
I started collecting in mid 2021 and have purchased a number of entry level watches. I'm having a good time and refining my ideas about what makes a satisfying collection. BTW, my page image is my wif...

I have a bunch as well, think leather NATOs are underrated
Exactly the same as yours, but it all depends on the quality of staple.
I have recently purchased some better quality products just waiting for them to arrive in my world £28 for a nylon strap is very expensive.
That looks pukka though👍👍👍👍👍
Stunning watch..
Is it a conquest ?
Is it a conquest ?
Yes, a Conquest VHP GMT. What does pukka mean????
Sorry,I'm English & wasn't thinking about our phrases!
Pukka is slang for very good 👍
The watch is pukka " The watch is very good "

Thanks for the explanation. I guessed it was good :)
Looks great! I go for a single pass. I have small wrists so the added depth of a traditional nato usually looks terrible on me.
I've never really been a fan of NATO straps. They add a lot of bulk to the watch and there's the long flappy end that needs to be tucked under.
But what I REALLY don't like is how the buckle on most NATOs sits well off center of my wrist.
I do enjoy the adjustable single pass straps such as the Crown & Buckle Chevron. Not as much bulk, no flappy end, and - most importantly - I can center the buckle right where it belongs.
Same here mate… I have a bunch of NATOs (which I instantly „convert“ to a Single Pass with scissors and a lighter) but I always switch back to the bracelet.
My SBSA057 came on the Seiko NATO (no other way to get THIS reference) and after a short while I ordered a Strapcode Oyster and Jubilee and an UncleSeiko President bracelet. I have (and will) never look back…

Funny, I have also ordered a Forstner ladder bracket for this watch, excited to see how that looks. I think I am a braclet guy.
Nato, zulu, etc are my preferred way of wearing a watch honestly. The issue that I have with them all is that the holes tend to stretch out after awhile. I have one of those odd size wrists that is between the holes.
Anyway I ordered a couple of Seals straps from Cheapeast Nato Straps and so far I’m loving them.
