Really nice watch and a deep cut, especially outside of the watch community.
I'm a big fan of the lesser hyped expedition / sports watches of this era; the early Alpinists, the Certina DS, the Polerouter, Enicar Sea pearl etc., etc.

What year is this?
Not sure actually, i'll check the back in a bit. But these are the early 60s alpinists before they were temporarily discontinued.

Always thought it'd make a good 'sub collection'.
I'd love to own that!
Cue up Queen's "We are the champions..." and that's all you really need to know.
Definitely a keeper!
Gorgeous!
I don't blame you. Hang on to this one.
Love this vintage watch. Is the lume effective after all the years?

It feels like i'm not going to move if i hang on to the things i like, which is EVERYTHING 😅
Love this vintage watch. Is the lume effective after all the years?
Yes it still does work! Although very much decreased due to age and the lume technology used at that time. But yes, still works.
And the special thing on the watch is that the seconds hand has a tiny tip lume pip.

Your collection is awesome as well!
Was eyeing the same, pare, from a watchmaker in Japan. Naunahan lang ako by a few days, sabi ng watchmaker. Ganda nyan!

That's very kind of you to say.
I have a pretty extensive collection of vintage #certina too that I haven’t been wearing much and doesn't really feature on these pages.
Like you, I'm going to move most of it on to someone who'll use them more than I have been.
