Forgive me for I have sinned!

My garbage is disposal broken (here is the link for what is a garbage disposal https://youtu.be/b4weX2rnm24) and I replaced it. I was wearing my Tudor Pepsi GMT while I was replacing the old disposal. I realized half way in the installation process and gave it to my wife to hold. Long story short, new disposal, no damage to the watch and my wife wore the GMT until the end of the evening. I think she like it, said it was heavy and talked about switching wrist so her arm muscles were even. Watch community, what is my penance?

Good call taking the watch off-- home seems to be the only place I damage watches 😂

·

If you can't find your Tudor at least you will know where it is! 😂

·

You are now forced to buy a Daniel Wellington and wear it in public. If you are a good lad, you can have a F91-W for working at home.

·

Penance is to buy a G-shock or other beater. ;)

·

I'm glad no damage was done!  No penance needed unless you want an excuse to buy a beater (as suggested by @UnholiestJedi), in which case pick your favorite beater.

It's funny our tool watches are no longer tools. My Dad wore his Omega in the 60s and 70s to do everything from work on our cars and do plumbing and electrical work at home to cleaning the chemical plant floors with Benzene at work because it was the only thing that could dissolve the gunk.

I really wish he still had that watch (dumped for a quartz in the late 1970s) but it's better that he's still beating me at golf in his mid 80s (DA&*@#) and that I don't have to look up how to clean Benzene off of a watch.

From a fellow Tudor BB GMT owner:

#star trek deep space nine from worf-seven

Concerning your penance:

Go directly to jail.  Buy a Daniel Wellington for housework and beat the everloving daylights out of it.

·

Your penance is:

Buy the cheapest strap you can find on AliExpress, and then, whenever it arrives in a year of so, wear the Pepsi on that strap for a month.

Good luck, fellow enthusiast.

·

Wait, is that a tool watch or a sports watch? I can't remember.

Will the watch strap last month?

·

there's a penance for taking off a watch to do work?  crap! I hardly ever take mine off to do work, so sad to say, they take a beating. Really wish I would remember to take em off, but they feel so One with me. Good thing I don't have spendy watches like you folks. Oh the humanity to get axle grease on a Rolex. lol

Will the watch strap last month?

That's the fun part! 🤣

·

Whoa, you had me sweating at “I was wearing”. Go buy a Gshock and tell wifey that having 1 strong arm only happens in college/uni.

I was halfway through replacing the water heater in my home when I realized I was wearing my Tudor BB58. "Tudor-The watch for DIY plumbing!"

·

When you use a word like "sinned" in the post title, some of us expect to see a German tool watch. So disappointing. 😕
