Ok.. I don’t think I’m alone in the fact that I have a list of watches that I would like to realistically someday own. I say realistically because although I would love to own expensive watches, I don’t see myself ever being able to afford or even want a watch that’s more expensive than a brand new Toyota Corolla. Of course, that’s just me. Everyone has different budgets, aspirations and lifestyles. It would be fun to see your comments! Mine is the Omega Aqua Terra in this configuration. Here is a pic of me trying one on at Omega.

Santos...sigh.

YES!!! Very nice!
Haha, yeah I have a list saved in my Google Keep for when I win the lotto!
I am on the list that doesn't exist for a couple of Roleys, but we can all dream!
Breitling Super Ocean Heritage 42mm Top Time Deus 41mm Boutique Exclusive Premier Top Time Triumph Tag Heuer Aquarqcer Professional 300 GMT 43cm Auravia 60th Anniversary GMT 42mm Longines Ultra-Chron 43mm stainless steel strap Aviation Watch Type A-7 41mm Heritage 42mm on leather Omega Seamaster Diver 300m White dial black rubber Chronometer 42mm Green with rubber strap Baume & Mercier Riviera 42mm with see through dial Panerai Luminor PAM01085 Blue Cartier Ronde Solo 42mm WSRN0022
In theory - A. Lange Söhne. More likely Glashütte Original or a JLC.
The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra (Green Teak Dial) was my first aspirational/stretch/grail watch. Alas, once you acquire one, others get on your radar scope.
Santos de Cartier in medium
Royal Oak, Vacheron Overseas, & Nautilus. Should be “or”. I will not own all 3. Lol
Santos...sigh.
I know how you feel! The santos is my favorite watch of all time. Not sure if I should have put that one as my option. It might be more expensive than the Aquaterra now that I think about it.. oops.. 😅
Speedmaster Snoopy. Grail watch sort of

NICE! Curious, if you had to choose just one of those, which would it be?

Yes I can see that happening! Lol

Probably the Panerai

Yup!! Beautiful!!
Royal Oak, Vacheron Overseas, & Nautilus. Should be “or”. I will not own all 3. Lol
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford that but never say never! Nice choice!! 👌
I think I already own it, I have Longines Spirit 37mm, which including tax cost me $1900. I don't think I can really justify more than that for a watch.
Lange 1815 in white gold
AT 38mm
There are several, but actually you can get already so much great watches between 1,5 and 3K.
Omega Aqua Terra or similar
Trust me guys, the list never ends, it’s like waiting at a bus stop. Your are anxious for you bus to come, while know that there will be another one coming
I have acquired my 2 ‘realistic’ grails last year thankfully.
If I could get the Rolex I'm after, that is £4-5k other that that if it was a big milestone maybe £2-3k. I don't have aspirations to own anything more expensive than Tudor, Longines, Omega, Fortis or Nomos.
My absolutely favourite- my Aqua Terra 41
AP Royal Oak Jumbo
One of those Patrick Bateman Rolex Datejusts, which I assume is somewhere in the high four figures but I really am not interested enough to even check.
Just think if all this apathy could be harnessed!
"Realistically" being the operative word, I would like one of those Seiko Ginzas with the blue cobblestone dials. They came out at about $750, they were all snapped up, and who knows what they cost now.
The Brian May Seiko.
Out of curiosity, what does a Corolla cost you in your country?

I think about $20k- $25k here in the US. I used that as an example because I own a 2015 Corolla that I bought brand new back then for $21k.. I just don’t see myself ever spending that much on a watch. I mean, who knows, but I don’t think so.

Yeah I agree with you in all honesty. Car money is just too much.
