Check out www.strapsco.com I was really pleasantly surprised with some of the leather straps they have in stock. From $19-$60 plus buy 2 get the 3rd one free!! I love me some bargains and returns are free no questions asked!
Around $50 dollars, fluco is my go to these days, also splurged on a custom made one, ostrich leg with clasp for $250, but even that feels cheap considering it's hand made by one guy, so it really depends.
Hirsch for me if I want a really nice strap. $30-$300 depending on the hide used. I really like their camel with the rubber underneath. Quality stuff in my experience. Their deployment clasps are uncomfortable to my wrist though.
I've purchased quite a few in the past 6 months and one of the most comfortable, well made and look just as good as expensive leather straps. Have been Alpine brand, I've found them all on amazon for 20-30 depending on style. The last one I got was the "ALPINE Genuine waterproof leather watch band with quick release spring bars" I paid 21.95! hard to beat that price for such a well made strap and it's amazingly comfortable. I bought it for my Phoibos Eagle Ray GMT dive watch. Just to cool of a watch for a standard dive strap. Their soft leather perforated rally straps w/quick release pins are amazing as well. So far they have the most comfortable, well made and really great looking straps I've found for what I consider a great deal at 20-30.00.
Cartier Aligator was $450 last I purchased. I have two for my Santos medium, and not planning to buy any more of those. Delugs is my next leather supplier of nice straps, again, specific for the Santos proprietary strap system.
Otherwise, Barton and a few other cheap ones come to mind.

I know what you mean concerning the clasps. I always just stick with the pin and buckle, much more comfortable for me.
CNS straps 💯 great quality for the price $39 usd delivered to Australia and the straps are very comfortable. Whether they last 2 months or 2 years who cares, it cost more for a cup of coffee 👍
I've learned that I really don't like the bargain bin leather straps. They generally are not very comfortable, look and feel cheap, and as such, they sit in a drawer and I never wear them. Spending a bit more pays big dividends when it comes to leather.
Delugs for dress straps - $80. Very good reputation for a good reason. Very pleased with them but a bit pricey. The stitching is great, they don't bleed, and generally are high quality.
Martu for more rustic straps. ~$40 and really well made. Much better than other similarly priced straps from mainstream brands.
Cascadia: good for croc straps. Not as nice as Delugs but less expensive and good quality. They are a Pacific North West brand which is cool.
Recently discovered Tuns. I don't have any (yet) but according to many people on a watch discord server i'm part of, quality is comparable to Delugs but price is closer to $35 with free shipping.
Have not been a fan of leather straps from Strapcode, Strap habit, AliX, or Nodus.
+1 for Martu. They really are great quality for the price. I also like that I can specify custom length, width, stitching colour, etc. for no extra fees.

I’ve been happy with Fluco and Colareb. They are usually around the $40-$60 range.
I like Colareb, they are well made in my experience.
I've been very happy with Tuns leather. I found them on Etsy, plenty of reviews there, but they have their own website as well.

I am super happy with molequin. they make quality straps AND buckles.
30-80 dollars and, perhaps, a couple in the $100+ range if they're truly best in class (Artem Sailcloths, Camille Fournet exotic leathers, etc.).
My go to midtier leather strap maker is Strap Atelier. Excellent leather sourcing, good overall quality with high quality stitching and dyeing.

I've had a few offerings from Di-Modell and always been happy with the quality vs cost of them.
around 80 to 160... i can recommend: nerobiglia, molequin and joseph bonnie (if you are in the eu)

In the UK, via Ebay, seller:pynchon63, I get hand made leather straps made to fit my skinny little wrists. About £20uk.
They are thick and chunky. Had several made and they are all still fine. Some have seen a lot of harsh wrist time.
I am super happy with molequin. they make quality straps AND buckles.
Molequin and Veblesist are my choice as well. Pricey but quality is top.
