I have a strange obsession with having only 1-2 watches. I think it has some benefits:
Ironically, collecting watches wastes a lot of time. And I really want to spend more of my free time outdoors or with friends. 😕 Or even at home but something more active. (I love driving games but I don't have the required gear at the moment.)
Tiny is maybe less versatile? But I'm not sure what else I need. A comfy titanium watch for general use and "dress up" occasions. - Plus a G-Shock for sports and dirty work or just really hot days (I love wearing it really loose in summer).
A big collection is maybe great for figuring out what you want and need? But I just end up wearing one or two and the rest get sold.
🤔
Are you happy with your collection? (Post a pic.)
And do you feel happy with the hobby in general?

I have moments where I consider having a smaller collection.
I have moments where I consider never buying another watch.
Then I wake up in a sweat and ask the wife to cuddle me and I get over my bad dream. ;)

Lol.
By the way do you wear the Star Wars ones often or is it more just for fun?

The R2 & Darth Maul are kinda awkward on the wrist, but the battle droids & pit droid get worn occasionally.
I thought about getting rid of my entire collection, and just keeping the GS SLGA015. Then, I got the SLGA015, and realized that I could never be monogamous with my watches! The only way I can stay monogamous with my wife, is if I am polygamous with my watches.
I also got a small watch collection.
Not by choice though... 😅

LoL! Better this way then the other way round!? 🤣
I dream of smaller collection. This is my main collection I have another box watches I wear less often.
For me 5 watch collection would be ideal, but I have really hard time thinkig what watches I would move on.
But I don't agonise over it. It is what it is.😊
I think of that and think of all the moments of life that most of the watches represent. For e.g. Impulse buy, buying when I was drunk, liked it on someone’s wrist so I wanted it, I needed something to match my wardrobe, etc. Did I miss any obvious ones🧐? Life is full of these moments and there is a watch for every occasion.
I’m happy with the current state of my collection. There’s nothing I’d like to cut and little that I “need” to add. That doesn’t mean I don’t have goals or irrational desires when it comes to my collection but I’m in a good place to relax and enjoy the current state.
i try to go with 6 watch collection, if i wanna buy more i should sell my previous collection. then the other day my friend gave me a casio duro and i cannot sell it since it was a gift so its seven for now 😂

One for each day of the week, works perfectly
With so many fabulous timepieces out there I just cannot understand (funds aside) how you could possibly think that fewer beautiful things is better than more beautiful things!
I don't wear the same outfit every day.
I don't listen to the same song every day.
I don't eat the same food every day.
Variety all the way for me and a limitless collection.

I dunno.. I like the clean minimalist look. And yeah I don't have money so whatever I save in one place I can use in another place.

Your two-tone Rolexes are 🔥 including that Oysterquartz Datejust. I don’t know if Tissot has ever come out and said but IMO the PRX takes its design cues directly from the Oysterquartz. that’s a good thing.
I have 15 watches and I think 3 or them get no time outside. Of the rest there are maybe 4 or 5 in regular rotation of at least once a week. The ones in between will still get a day or so every month (thinking about the moonswatch or my red Casio digital)

Thanks!
For me there has been more value to the tt models, since there is this st hype going on. I do prefer the look also, to me it's great blend of durability and looks.
I don't think Tissot have said it, but it's pretty obvious. But then again the OQ is a homage of the Genta design, so I gues most things take inspiration somewhere.

I feel your pain 😅
