Oh Longines…What have you done?

Its coming upto release time for most of the major watch brands. Longines has dropped this in champagne, black and blue dials. IMO its a great package (along with the 40mm and 42mm variants). Looks like I won’t be able to walk past the Longines displays without stopping for a while 😬. Anyone else liking it?

Agreed! Any standouts for you?

For me the Legend Diver. The 1832 Moonphase (if only it were smaller) and the Silver Arrow are my current faves along with this one

·

Absolutely superb.  The clear mainstream leader under $3k or so.

superb watch 🍺

@jason_recliner Is it the Swatch group in general? They just seem like they WANT to sell you a watch. They make something for nearly everyone and (a few Omegas aside) they’re available to either try or buy

superb watch 🍺

@Unholy it looks good in the press photos definitely! Just need to try it on…!

Nice watch!!!

I'm supposed to be hanging out for a JLC Polaris but it's so difficult to not be distracted and end up picking up stuff like this. Thanks Longines  😤🤣

If there was a blue dialed 1832 moonphase, I'd be begging them to take my money.

I find most Swatch watches pretty cynical.  Used to be an Omaga fan but they mostly leave me a bit cold these days. The Spirit is a rare flash of honesty and integrity from Swatch

@jason_recliner do you mean the ’limited editions’ and the ’new’ dial colours?

@KyleC93 they do one in the Master collection….

Mariner Date.. not the Memovox. That one is just a bit beyond the budget at the mo.

If the AD I was at a couple weeks had that in Champaign good chance they would have had a sale.

@TheWatchMission Thanks for the pics. The indices look like something else! Amazing how they able to produce something like this at this price point

it was REALLY difficult to not throw my credit card at it. loved it.

Longines Sprit Titanium 40 :) Love this piece. Size and weight wear perfect. Some people think the Lug to lug  distance may be a bit broad but this works great for my 6.6 inch wrist. A 21mm strap monster 20mm natos or single pass work fine.

I know what you mean. Even though I tried on the 40mm last year and it was a little too big - I was tempted! The 37mm is going to have to be horrible on my wrist or the sales person is going to have to be awful for me not to buy when I try it on…😬

@Bryan1 that does look awesome!

@theevilwrist ’date window issue’? Do you mean moving from 3 to 6?

The date windows on the 42's and 40's are a disaster. The date window on the 40 doesn't line up with the radius of the numerals, and don't even get me started on cutting the 3 in half on the 42. It looks like someone did the design and then as an afterthought someone added 5mph bumpers. Longines fixed it on the Bucherer and Titanium models.  The only issue with the 37mm is the champange dial does not have a color matches date wheel like the blue and the black.

I think the white date window on the champagne kinda gets away with because it almost looks like another hour marker

I thought the same thing when I saw it.  Normally that color difference would bother me, but not here.

Gah! I'm seriously trying to save (and decide between) like 3 sub 10k omegas as my 40th birthday present to myself and longines keeps putting out bangers being like "this will tide you over!....." between this and the black sector on BOR i'm going to have a tough time waiting another two years to make a purchase.

Exactly.  Blue bracelet chronoscope was the settled one, then the black bracelet 57 came out and I gotta at least try it on.  Then a watch I’ve never cared for (diver 300M) came out in a beautiful green and now I’m like okay I can at least try it on…..crap

Yeah, definitely try them all on. Have they said when they’ll be out to their ADs yet?

Dunno. I think one video mentioned the 30th but I don’t actually know

40th isnt for 2 years but most definitely will ☺️

I love it. The 40mm I've got is great and wouldn't change it for the new 37. But I must say that the date window on the 37 is done way better. On the black and silver dial 40mm versions it makes the date disk blend into the dial nicely. Especially in the black version. But with the blue and green versions...hmmm...not so much.
