I need your help! Casio gift ideas, please!

I have a few people whom I’ve been friends with for more than 20 years… they are family to me…

I want to celebrate our almost 25 years of friendship by giving them away engraved Casio watches. We’re talking about 5-10 watches. It has to be casio… They’re robust, reliable and long lasting, like our friendship.

What do you think would be the best option to gift? Keep in mind it shouldn’t be expensive given the amount I have to purchase.

Lots of people will recommend the Duro but a Cruncher recently introduced me to this one. Of course they also do wall clocks, alarm clocks and calculators?

Should it be a digital one, or one with analog hands? Resin, Stainless Steel Cases? A168 could be an option. Around 40€+/-. Or if it should be an analog 3- Hander you may take a look on the MW 240 B, around 30€+/-

If your goal is to all have the same watch as a symbol of that bond then the A168 gets my vote too. It's cheap enough but at the same time it comes in a bunch of different colors so you have some wiggle room to customize the gift for each recipient. Also came out (a little more than) 25 years ago too, so there's that.

The Duro, six in the range I think

Blue, Pepsi, green, black, black n gilt and Batman…..

reasonably priced classic looking but highly usable for everyday life!

There a number of Casio classics that should work nicely for you. Some have already been mentioned here. Most are relatively inexpensive.

Thank you! I don’t recall seeing that one before.

I was thinking digital maybe… A168 was an option. Versatile, quintessential, iconic… great watch overall.

If any other comes to mind, I’d appreciate it. Thanks!!

All the right points here… Thanks!! I didn’t consider the release date, but that’s super valid.

You’re totally right about that… That was the first watch I considered buying, from there I started going deep and down the rabbit hole of “watch” Youtube and got to see Teddy and Ben’s Watch Club… I skipped the Casio, considered some Seiko 5s, and skipped them too… ended up buying a Hamilton Khaki Navy. But perhaps this is a great opportunity to circle back to the Casio Duro.

I absolutely appreciate the time you spend to put together such a descriptive answer. Thank you very much… I already own an AE1200, and it’s definitely an option, MDV106 too… hadn’t considered the DW5600E, but it might as well be an option… Thank you!!

Thanks! Can’t go that route, it’s a tad too expensive…

Although I’d definitely like that.

A700 is a great watch for the money. Fun design that’s distinctly different from a lot of the other entry level Casios. I personally love the small pops of color and the black bezel surrounding the dial, such good contrast!

WorldTime AE1200 no Brainer. Less then $25. Add Vario leather straps for another $28 you have an awesome watch for $53.

·

Casios look great on Vario leather straps. They completely transform the watch. Here are a couple.

Thank you very much for the photos… I think it’s the first time I see a Casioak with a leather strap. It’s like a whole new watch. Wow.
