First G-Shock

Just got my first G-Shock. Got it for a decent price on Amazon. This one’s definitely on the larger end even by my standards. But I feel even in my 7.5 ish wrist it’s not too huge. Beyond that I like the analog/ digital display. It has every feature I could need. And is pretty light for its size.

I think if I end up liking this one I might want to pick up a Casioak or something if the sort. Overall I’m pretty happy with this purchase so far.

Beefy…you’ll like the CasiOak if you want something more subdued 🤣

Yes. It’s definitely beefy. Like I said I don’t feel it’s too bad. And a positive of it being larger is it had a larger dial. Easier to read at a glance

Definitely easier to read than the CasiOak.

Thanks, I’m definitely liking it so far. We’ll see if that continues in the future, but so far so good. I’ve also gone and bought those vario G-Shock adapters. I am a nato guy overall, so I think it’ll make me a bit happier

The 5600 series is a more manageable size. The Gs can end up looking all nobby

Fair enough. For the 100$ price tag this was a pretty good starting point. I will say despite the size I do like the legibility of this one. Very easy to read at a glance. And honestly, as large as it is I feel the specs made it seem like it would’ve been larger

Love it ! Having a few G-Shocks I can say the quality is fantastic. Nothing with little springs and jewels comes close to the durability of G-Shocks. Now I love the mechanical watches as well, but we all know a G-Shock is often more accurate than a chronometer and offers more features than any mechanical could dream of. In addition, they are not fragile smartwatches that will be obsolete in 3 years, they are the tool watch of today. I like the solar atomic squares, but I may step up to beast mode like you have soon.

For sure, they seem pretty dope so far. I am exited to get my PT strap adapters however. The straps are comfortable, but I do prefer PT’s if possible. This one is certainly a beast. I mainly bought it for the modest price tag, but I actually don’t mind it at all. Regardless of what others think, I don’t mind a oversized watch at all

When you stop caring what others think, you have arrived at your own taste. Sounds like you are there.

Thanks, I think I will 😁

I've had a couple of large G Shocks in the past. My wrists aren't huge, but you soon get used to the size.

Nice watch 👍
