How do you feel about Spinnaker watches?

In my opinion, Spinnaker offers some great designs at a reasonable price. I never had qc issues. I do wish they sold bracelets for their watches separately, I have no way of getting one for this beautiful Croft mid-size.

I like some of their designs. I have no doubt they are, except for their movements, coming straight out of China. That's not a bad thing as long as QC is well done.
As a rule, they are too large for my tastes though.

I have two Avi-8 watches also owned by Dartmouth Brands Ltd. Both Spinnaker and Avi-8 have interesting dials and designs. Looks aside in my opinion if I'm spending 350 on a watch I rather buy a new or mint condition Samurai or a Citizen dive watch. If I see a Spinnaker going for 100 to 200 and the design is to my linking why not?

This one here is 40mm, different than what they usually do.

I prefer Spinnaker to Avi-8 if we look at Dartmouth as a whole. I think they do try and capture the whole skin diver, classic diver vibe, and I think they do it quite well (sort of Explorer, 300, Italian mixes). Their chronographs seem quite busy on the dial, and the tachy on the bezel is a bit slap-dash, but some of the plainer models are quite handsome. I cannot comment on movements, wear or quality as I have not yet picked one up, so my experience is not hands on. Interested, but not taking the bait.

I looked at the brand before, but for what I saw I probably would have preferred a direct Chinese import, especially at this price, as you can still see standard Chinese components being used. I'm not bashing the Chinese here, but I think you can get more carefully designed watches from Chinese manufacturers for your money than with Dartmouth as an intermediary.

I have never owned one, but Spinnaker ignited my love for watches. The Fleuss was the first automatic watch i ever saw, causing me to save up to make my first “real” watch purchase. I loved the vintage font logo and the lumed bezel, and most of all the display caseback. But then I was caught off guard by the concept of sizing. Since I had just gotten into the hobby, I had no idea that its 43mm or something diameter would look way too big. I was distraught, but it led me to find some other brands that had the same charm to them. I still really love the Fleuss, so maybe one day when my wrist gets beefed up I can finally order one. 👍 So while I cant say anything for the quality, I can say alot for the design and novelty that thrusted me into this world of watches!

I too am waiting for my wrist to grow so I could wear larger watches 😂

If they use the Seagull ST2130. An ETA2824 clone.

Their ST19 chronograph movement offers a lot also.

I own the same watch too, and I faced the same problem that you are facing right now...

I have this watch and agree completely about Spinnaker, good products. I really like that band you have on there too. What is it?
