G-Shock GST-B600...The G-Shock for the traditionalist watch enthusiast?

I agree for the most part with this. I think a lot of people see Miyota and think we'll it must be inferior than a Swiss movement. I actually think the Miyota 9000 is very competitive with some advantages like how thin it is over many of the entry level Swiss ETA 2824 clones like the SW-200. Maybe a knock on it being unidirectional with rotor whirl. But if cased right that's not much of an issue.

It's also very reliable a real workhorse. Any movement building off that platform is probably going to be fairly decent.

I kinda wish one of these Ali brands would put this design in a shrink ray and make it a 38-40mm. It is a nice design but it does wear all of the 42mm unlike some Seikos that are 42mm but wear like a 40. 🙂

To borrow a line from the Men's Warehouse...you're gonna like the way you look.

The color way of Jet Star I have is not currently available in the US. I purchased and imported from an Italian online retailer. As mentioned I would like to see a side by side of the two models as well. But really I'd just like to know if the Surveyor bracelet will fit with the Jet Star.

Bulova has something going with both of these models. This is one of cases where personally I'll choose the quartz over the automatic mechanical movement. I really like the Precionist movement and the captivating sweep.

Sometimes the heart wants what the heart wants. If it's within your budget I can tell you there really is a difference between a luxury watch and an affordable watch. But also a watch collector I personally think about the enjoyment I get out of the watch than the financial investment. If you're wearing it and enjoying it, in the end kinda the most important thing.

One recommendation I would give is with a bigger brand like Oris, go to a dealer, jewler etc and experience the potential candidate in the metal if you can. You might fall in love or you might realize it's not as exciting as you expected.

Unfortunately with a microbrand that's harder to do. Although my experience with microbrands has been very positive; experiencing a watch in person can make a big difference. So once you've narrowed down your choice do that as much as you can if you can.

Regarding Baltic and Monta. I don't own a Baltic so I really can't speak to their quality but they have built up a good reputation.

As for Monta, the Noble I recommended (Opaline Silver) is a watch I also own (I have too many watches 😂). But that watch is definitely a keeper. And Monta might be one of those few micros that will likely retain it's value. If you ask around enough you'll hear people say Monta is the Rolex of microbrands. At the very least they seem to be compared often. And yes unlike the Lorier I would consider Monta a luxury brand. This is also reflected in the price of a Monta. But honestly Monta still presents a great value when compared to the well known historical brands. It's a very refined experience, that usually requires you to look at a Tudor, Rolex, Omega etc...to find. It is in the same ballpark for a portion of the price.
