A week ago my colleague ask me to find him a good watch for work. I looked at the local Casio website and found this solar powered model for around 35€. He liked it, i liked it even more and i ordered one for him and one for myself.😁 This is my first solar powered watch but it will not be the last one for sure. Do you have solar powered Casios or other watches? I'll be happy to see them. Have a great day everyone ✌🏼

I actually have this exact model, along with other solar Casio watches.
I’ve got 2 solar powered Casios.
They’re both g-shocks so but I think that counts. Would really like to get my Casioak metal with solar and bluetooth like the other 2.
I replaced a dead SPF40 with this Protrek PRG270-1. Looking to change the band. Love the watch.

I like this model. I will be interested to see what band you put it on. I am sort of in a similar situation with my PRW2500. The watch is great, but the band is merely good. 😉 I would love to switch it out, but I haven't found anything to replace it. It's almost like an integrated strap.
Mine are from Q&Q, a Citizen sub-brand. I have 4 of them, all running incredibly accurate. I got each for 29€ to 49€

That looks so good and clean. I am going to browse the internet for some Q&Qs right now.

Exactly. However there are simple spring bars holding them in place. Can't find anything on YouTube either.

You can get some on Amazon mate !
Here is the "diver" (H2 sun 20 Bar series, 49€)
The bezel is roating and well aligned
Here are some other shots of the RP26 (10 Bar series, 29€) :
Just be careful to the size, there are lots of 30 or 32mm.
The black one is 36mm and the diver is 40mm. I made a review of the little one here

Thank you very much for the info and for the pictures 😉

The PRW2500 has the bar like the GMWB5000 G Shocks. Really a hassle to change and find something to fit. 😢

I sent out an SOS to the group. No answer yet.
Solar powered watches are so underrated imho. Like quartz, they don't get enough "shine". I'm a fan of both. Now you and your work buddy can be twins with the watches.

Totally agree with you my friend. Absolutely we were rocking the watches today at work. Bartenders at the pool bar with the same clothes and watches 😁💪🏼

Cheapest I could get was 42 euros, but still notable quality for the price 👍

FYI. The adaptors are fine however the interchangeable strap was mis-sewn and I needed to move the clasp and rings. A knife, cut the threads, reposition the clasp (needed to recut longitudinal slit for tongue), stitch in place, reposition rings, stitch in place, done. Perfect.
