Help ID this watch?

I do love some Jordan Peterson. But I was so distracted by his watch I was missing some pearls of wisdom! ๐Ÿ˜œ

Can anyone ID this watch? Best guesses? This was the best screen capture I could get of it.

Can't I.D. the watch, but Jordan Peterson is a righteous dude! ๐Ÿ‘

The strap seems to be different, however. ๐Ÿค”

ยท

I've seen him in videos wearing other Omega watches as well

ยท

The man knows...

ยท

Same here!! I watch a ton of his lectures, and Iโ€™ve frequently seen him wear a Seamaster 300 bronze

He seems like a good guy, too. Takes the heat in stride.

I think it would be good to consider what a post like this says to members of this community who are women or non-binary. I think Watchcrunch should be a welcoming place, and this post conflicts with that.

They only asked what watch he was wearing, I wouldn't read too much into the politics of the person wearing the watch.

ยท

Huh, I guess he started wearing nicer watches after Nico Leonard mocked what he used to wear beforehand. Pity. Seems the psychologist isn't immune to psychological tricks himself.

ยท

I hear he prefers binary watches.

Peterson's views on women and non-binary people are well-known, and several people have followed the original post with comments about Peterson himself, not the watch. The OP mentioned his "wisdom." I get your point, but I think you're off track.

ยท

I often wondered what this bronze watch was. Thanks for answering that.

As for the professionally-offended trolls, it is a waste of time trying to discuss anything with them. It is a long-know fact that these people are so possessed by their ideas that a dialogue in good faith is impossible.

All that the author of that comment gained is an immediate block. (Hamas? really?? )

Now, back to watch talk!

I smell a troll

If you mean me? Not a troll, just someone who doesnt like violence against women.

ยท

I think the omega seamaster 300 bronze gold. A fantastic choice

I think what youโ€™re hearing is mainly people being very tired of identity politics. Itโ€™s been so intense for the last few years with a lot of big changes with how society thinks about these things, and humans hate big change. I think what JP said was disgusting. But living in a human society, with millions of imperfect and ignorant people, means you will sometimes come across bullies. I certainly have, and my kids will. That will never change. We will all come across people we donโ€™t like and we have to live with them. The pendulum needs to swing away from โ€œI canโ€™t ever hear something that is mean to meโ€ more towards โ€œwe all need to have a thick skin, the world isnโ€™t a perfectly comforting place.โ€ In my opinion. And no you are in no way a troll, saying you are is a sh*tty thing to say. And you are right that some of the positive comments about JP will make WC a place less likely to have women and non binary members, regardless of whether I think people need to have a thick skin in a human society

I agree to a point. But I dont agree that people are tired of "identity politics," I think they don't like a world where things have changed. A lot of the same people like "identity politics" just fine when it favors straight white men.

There have always been and always will be standards that communities have. Those standards are changing, in ways that people like Peterson don't like. I'd rather put emphasis on standards that welcome people that were locked out before over ones that try to keep things the way they were in the past.

Wow. Didn't mean to upset the snowflakes. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I was just asking about the man's watch!

I think someone who has spoken favorably about violence against women is pretty clearly over the line. It's not really a slippery slope to say that kind of thing is out of bounds.

"I think someone who has spoken favorably about violence against women..."

Jordan Peterson never did any such thing, btw.

Peterson and Hamas agree in their views of women's rights and homosexuality, in fact.

But I'm not arguing for a right to not be offended. I'm saying this forum should decide if it wants to be a place that does not consider the views of women and others, who are likely to feel unwelcome when they come across posts talking positively about a misogynist.

By all means, offend people. But then dont be surprised when they dont want to participate in forums with you, and dont be surprised when the watch community has no women in it.

Y'know.... you could've just moved right along and not started virtue signaling. With, as is usually the case, unfounded accusations, outright lies, and a heaping helping of pure BS.

I donโ€™t think that is an accurate summary of a best selling current author. While I donโ€™t agree with all his views I have not a problem to discuss what fashion item someone is wearing.

ยท

Do you think Jewish people would be unhappy if I posted a picture of the leader of Hamas, asked about a watch he was wearing, and said I listen to him for "pearls of wisdom"?

Whataboutism strikes again. Cannot off topic the thread enough as it is now youโ€™re making random comparisons to a terror org. Classy stuff.

The idea of canceling someone because their beliefs donโ€™t align with yours is the opposite of a welcoming place.

Yes he is wearing a watch, I think we can agree on that, or maybe we can't, I'm not sure anymore. Here's a cute puppy to cheer everyone up (I couldn't find one wearing a watch)

And yes, he's a 150-pound 11-month-old PUPPY! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘

The woke snowflakes ruin everything they touch. There is no escaping it. They just feel they have to do this. And it will only get worse until we stop tolerating them and pretending they are saying something important.
