Introducing myself
Hey everyone! I'm Alberta and sometimes my friends call me Bert! My pronouns are she/they. I'm new here show me around please!!
As a massage therapist for the past 8 years paying attention to timing has been huge for me, but that also meant I often had to lay my watch on the table or even sometimes round my ankle to know when the session was over!
Some fun facts about me and my relation to the crunch;
I've been eating crunchy granola since I was a kid. A high protein one Is best and I do actually feel sad if the grocery store is out.first world problems.
Theres a real term for people who don't like to hear others crunch its called misophonia. You should probably ask your loved ones if they have it before movie night or long casual phone chats...
In case you can't yet tell, I have ADHD I discovered last year, and sometimes I be crunching my time so much, so much that I'm late for things so thats why i really have to wear a watch every day because time blindness.
And why do I have 14 watches? My cute best friend is a watch lover and gave me a bunch to try and I caught the crunch!!
Now I gotta wear a different watch every day to keep the blues away. It beats crunching in the snow in the Midwest in Jan thats for sure. Oh yea! Last fact. I'm originally from the Midwest but have lived on both east and west coasts most of my adult life.
I am somewhat of a 'gafoof' some would say so if you're ready for some really bad dad jokes that are worse than your dad's you've come to the right profile.

A warm welcome from southern GER. My wifey call me a looney for my small collection (40+, mostly GShocks, a few mechanicals/ automatics). Unfortunately as i have a few more watches i can t wear all of em regularily, on the other hand it s like wearing a new watch everytime i swap🙂 (daily for the most part)

For a very long time I was a bit embarrassed about being so into watches and kinda kept it private. It also seemed to raise eyebrows at work when it got to the higher end stuff.
Here it’s just the love of it. Casios and Timexes get just as much, if not more engagement than the high horology stuff. It’s genuinely just enthusiasts nerding out! Welcome to your people 😄
