Thank you so much for your thoughts! Very nice analysed the situation. I love the black and blue and I would loose a lot of good memories which bonded me with this BB41. The only flaw which is has for me is the high…the fitt on the bracelet is fine, the weight is ok. So it’s not enough flaws to let it go:)
…so diver watches are just for divers?! 🤦♂️🤣 We are talking watches not charit work. A G-Shock is all the watch you will ever need, if you think that way. But I am talking about Tudor BlackBay watches, I can really recoment them; Top Quality, durable, amazing loom and you can, if you want go diving with them.
Good Point! When I bought the BB41 I did it online and still was a newby to the watch collecting journey and it was lock down time. I would never buy a unseen watch again. I was or am lucky that it is an amazing watch for the money. Renting a watch?! people do that??? No, I am looking for a keeper:) My journey is more the task of finding the perfect fitting watch:) I get to thinking it’s a myth…but recently I tried a Grand Seiko which comes close but no easy link extensio:( I will take a good look at the new Ranger…will see if it’s works for me:)
But the it’s the same quality watch as the BB58 but with different proportions. The hight bothers me but loosing that much money for the same (but smaller) piece would bother me more. Maybe in the future I‘ll get a better deal done.
Thank you guys for the helpful comment!!! Great community! I know I would not enjoy the new BB58 with this bad deal and keep my money! I still love this watch, event though it’s not perfect.
My Dad owns a Solar powered Citizen, U believe it’s his second watch in 30 year. I was wearing one for about 10 years nonstop-till the bracelet broke down - one watch guy. Since a couple of years I got to know mechanical watches and am hooked on them. But I still own a solar powered Promaster Diver. They are so good with a great lume and build like a tank! When it comes to swimming or diving it’s my first choice!
For me, it’s the sweeping of the second hand and knowning about the craftsmanship which went into it(even though it might be machines who make them today:) But when I gave a mechanical watch to service, there’s a watchmaker taking it appart and the watch is good t go for the next 10 year:)
