The one who mostly stays in my watchbox

I don’t wear dresswatches often but I like the craftsmanship and beauty of this piece.

Any thoughts on…if it’s a keeper or not?:)

Basically I want to keep it in the collection but I just want to hear some thoughts why? Does that makes any sense? 🤣If it doesn’t to you, don’t bother writing.

It’s a good looking dress watch with the chronograph functionality. Unless you already have another watch that fills the role as a dress watch, you should keep it for that once a year wedding that you have to go to. (Funerals, too, but that seems too sad)

I rarely ever find any occasion when a formal dress watch makes sense. I'm a shorts and t-shirt kinda guy. In this day and age, it seems to me that wearing any kind of watch at all conveys some sense of formality, relative to something like an Apple Watch! Given that, if it doesn't get much wrist time, why not sell it and put that money towards something that you will wear often?

I'm of the total opposite opinion to the previous comment. I have several dress watches and I wear them with jeans and t-shirts all the time. In fact I'd probably not wear yours to a formal occasion as it's too busy (that shouldn't stop you wearing it though!).

Maybe try not to overthink when you "should" wear it. There's no rule to say it can only come out on special occasions. Obviously not when fixing the car, but on a sunny day, walk in the park, family BBQ, it's perfect.

It's a nice looking watch, I'd be happy to have it in my collection. Use it more often, fall in love with it again.

Cathedral hands and a bright dial with the long Swiss heritage? what's not to love if not for sake of variety. Its pretty and has the Cartier style numbers with a solid automatic movement.

There's no way I'd part with it. Love it.

Thank you for your thoughts! And you hit some good points. I have a Speedy which also fullfill that role…but this is more of a pure dresser and it’s something not everyone has:) Selling it is an option but to be honest; there is no box or papers and I have no idea when or if it ever been serviced. So I would not get a lot of money out of it. This would be the next one on my list to get a service. It will remain in my collection even if I use it just a few times in a year:)

You are on the right track! There is no rule when to wear a dresser or not! I can and do wear this one with jeans and T-Shirt. Just have to pick it more often:)
