I just saw my friend @Fieldwalker dipping his immaculate luxury watch into water! ๐ญ
WHY?! Just to get a badge from @Deeperblue ?
If anyone wants to attempt to dip your watches in water. I have written this guideline above. Please review it.
For reference:
Don't try this at home.

Just be careful twisting your hands too vigorously when washing, or don't swim too fast, that dynamic pressure coukd spike those PSI's and ruin your watch.......

Go have an adventure with your watches!
Dude! Thatโs not for @Deeperblue , im in 1wc and Iโm a swimmer- my watches know the deal when they partner with me. ๐
Lux or not, they gonna get wet!
My swims are hard paced fast laps, with tumble turns and a few hard dolphins off each wall, at a depth of a few feet.
So Sakura gets wet akin to skin diving and diving into water from a height I reckon
I use 100m with a screw crown as a general minimum for all my watches, and trust in that.
#1wc means Iโve gotta tell my leather band to โ suck it up princessโ : cows get wet and chicks like patina - am I right! ๐

Pass on testing on my watchโs.
I try to avoid doing anything in them that will expose them to hard elements
What's funny to me about all this WR stuff, is WR is good and all but what about excessive dry heat and sand, alakali dust, etc....
I'm more concerned about rinsing my watch off after work, especially anywhere in the southwest.
Far as the dry heat goes, haven't had any watches seals dry rot yet ASFAIK.
But sand is abrasive as heck and gets EVERYWHERE.
I understand if something is WR it's prolly dust proof too, but seen quite a few other dudes bezels get screwed up with sand caught up in them. Not to mention strap bite/rash.*
*Strap bite or rash is when lots if sand gets caught between case and a nylon watch strap and basically rubs raw areas around edges. When you take the strap off, have a free of charge sandblasted lines on your case lol. Best way to prevent, rinse with water...๐ซ
You need to live a little and get wet! My little badge hungry piranha!

Whatโs the point of a waterproof watch if you never get it wet?

You use the water resistance figure as bragging right in a dinner party. But stay away from alcohol because you might scratch your watch
Headed north to get wet in the San Juan Islands

I usually donโt wear divers to dinner parties, thatโs what dress and vintage watches are for๐
benefit of being able to wear more than one watch! Good Luck with that๐คฃ
In your honor I think Iโll wear. 3 different watches today

lmfao the flex of dipping your GS into a body of water. I love it and respect it hahaha.
So is it something that just irks you when a particular piece is in a body of water? I've dipped a Seiko Turtle into the ocean and it's been fine.
