Should Watch Crunch be just for watch fans with no affiliation to a brand or watch company or include these as well?

Worn and Wound, Hodinkee, Time and Tide, and others on Watch Crunch posting material- should they be on here?

Maybe there should be a separate section for them. Hodinkee definitely NO but monochrome, time and tide, a blog to watch, they are normal people in my opinion. But you will rarely see these publications covering many watches that a lot of crunchers write about on this platform. A predominantly big part of this site is dedicated to lower tier brand content. Or so it feels to me.

I trust the moderators to keep it from becoming commercialized., and if they have something new to announce, I wouldn’t mind reading it here.

·

Let them have their own tab. Like the “news” tab but for brands

·

So if we post actual content elsewhere then we should f*ck off? If you’re giving me permission to do so then I will bear it in mind. Thank you.

I think it is good. They should have a "conflict of interest" tag perhaps but it's nice to speak directly with representatives directly if you ask me. Shows that they care, well, sometimes 😉

·

Should be a separate section, not on the main feed.

I think it's great if they purely want to engage the community. I think San Martin is on here already

The admins gave you the block feature to block posters you don't want to see content from. Complaining about them will only start a flame war. They have voices the majority want to hear from. The admins will control advertising spam so leave the gatekeeping to them

Max owns the site. He’ll figure out what he wants to do.

·

I hope not. What value would they add without taking away organic vibe here?

When I want their perspective I enjoy going to their sites/apps. I come here to talk shop with likeminded enthusiasts.

I think brand posts and brand reps should be marked as such.

I would like to know when I'm reading a post made on behalf of a company, but I'm not opposed to them being here. A tab that sort of acts like an email list for brands who want to share here is an interesting idea.

The news section is the natural home for the major blogs/publications, but the individuals working for them? Love seeing them in the chats. They are watch enthusiasts first and foremost and want to use WC for the same reasons we do.
