Check Out The Lineups Here:

I had to vote Melbourne Watch because I just don't dig Ming at all.

I was tempted when the very first watch was released...my finger was ready to hit the buy button...but I could not execute...and I'm grateful I didn't...

You know it is a tough day when even you could not be tempted with a chrono!

Again not willing to go that type of cash for a Microbrand on the Ming. Melbourne however I owned one and really like the design and value is very good. Melbourne

·

Do not know any of those brands, I have to admit. The line-up of the Melbourne Watch Co. is more my kind.

·

It's Melbourne for me. I really don't like the Ming designs and I think they are over-hyped.

·

I live in Melbourne, and really want to like them. However I find their designs so very generic. Ming it is.

·

Ming has a specific aesthetic, which you may like or dislike, but I think should always be respected as a consistent artistic vision. Some microbrands have this, like Direnzo, others come off as quite generic, or aimless. You can't say that about Ming.

I also like that he is making higher end and somewhat more affordable, albeit still pricey, models. I just wish he managed to improve the bracelet, get it at least to San Martin level.

Anyone out there want to help fund my purchase of the 29.01 Worldtimer? I like it better than the Patek 😭

·

Ming bc I like Tron 😂

·

This is a hard one. Gotta vote on price. Melbourne.

·

MWC has a nice lineup but going with Ming here

·

I like Melbourne and think they have done a great job developing an affordable lineup of distinctly Australian watches. That being said Ming is the kind of company that is pushing the world of watchmaking forward in new and interesting ways. This was the first time in this tournament that I headed straight to ebay to see what I could find for immediate purchase, I managed constraint and am not an owner of a Ming today, but I am pretty sure that there is one in my future. #ming

The 1st round match ups are interesting, some lesser known micro-brands would do better (advance) if not matched against a micro-brand behemoth like Norquain or Anordain. In the end the cream rises to the top though.

Did you do the Orient inter-brand tournament. I think the latest Bambino won.

I agree, but that’s the beauty of it, cannot pull punches, if you will, to create favorable match ups.

This tournament already takes up a ton of time. So just this one for me! :-)

I voted for Ming because I like their designs from dial & case. For me there’s something about their dial and case designs that works and I really enjoy looking at

Poll closed for this matchup. Congratulations to Ming!

Excellent movement in the Miyota 91xx. I was surprised to see Melbourne included in this tourney.🥰
