Yes, I just took delivery of a watch. No, I do not need this one and so far have resisted the urge to buy it. So far. BUT, does not mean I do not want to share it since I did not see anyone else post so far today, here we go. I am going to answer a ton of FAQ post topics with one recommendation:
There are a ton of “Best watch under $2k?" Which watch should I get? I need a GADA, what should I get? Best field watch? Best Explorer alternative? Best Alpinist upgrade?
To start all of those are silly questions, there is never one. However, I submit for approval this new Monta Triumph. Let’s look at the boxes it checks:
Strong build quality by a brand of equal reputation
ETA 2892
Unabashedly field/tool watch with military inspiration
It’s green
Sub 40mm less than 10MM thick
The best bracelet under $3k that includes micro adjust
150M water resistant
While not intentional, Triumph makes some of the best motorcycles. Steve McQueen drove a similar colored green one in the Great Escape (yes, I get the last part could be a con).
Under $1750.
The brand and the Triumph line gets slept on as a whole, but I have no shame in recommending this line every time someone is looking for an Explorer alternative. In fact even if discounted to and equal price, I am going home with the Triumph.
Please buy these so I do not have to. :-)

That is so close to Pantone 448C.

A little more hue, but sure. The military dials are generally drab by nature.
I have been eyeing the Triumph lately.

It’s one of those watches that I say; if I see a deal, I’ll pick one up. Honestly, it’s still a good value at full price.
I have the pink dial (donation to women's breast cancer); and it's one of the best watches/bracelet combos I have. Well worth full price.
Nice looking dial. I really like the numerals, but I wish (tiny nitpick) that the rectangular indices were smaller or even not there at all. Given how much steel there already is, I'd have been happy with just the numbers.
Monta is an amazing and underrated micro. I owned a sea king for a while and adored it’s case and bracelet especially their microadjust system. Sold it and often regret letting it go. Beautiful one!

The bracelet is incredibly well done
Thank you for showing your new Monta. I love Monta. I would love to buy one for the team, so you would not have to. Right now I can't afford Monta. So thanks again for showing yours.
Good reasons too, esp. No. 4 (it's green).
Love it! Definitely eyeing this watch as well.
Good looking watch
It took so much self control for me to not pull the trigger on one of these when I saw the release… still kinda kicking myself for not getting one. These dials are just 😝🥰
