New GS is here and fits in very well!

My GS SBGX263 finally arrived from Japan for about 1'000USD. It is beautiful! It replaces my Longines VHP which was too big and not waterproof enough.

As a white sport/casual watch, I now use my Longines Weems.

As a quartz GADA (because I wear more than 10 watches, some of them too rarely, I like to throw a quartz into the rotation) and with a champagne dial.

Let the honeymoon begin! Now I'm done with my mid-term collection goals. The long term goals (exclusive life milestones) remain 😉.

i fought with myself for 1 year, but it was just the wrong watch for me (the VHP). Went to Sweden to a happy buyer. but wonderful watch 😢 Had it only been 38-39mm with at least 100m waterproofing....

the bracelet is from strapcode. really nice but... really HEAVY. But then you can also smash stones with the watch 😂

I wanted this before, but got a killer deal on the baby alpinist and love it since then

That's a worthy upgrade over the VHP! Nice 😌

Thanks! In the end, i think they are on the same level, but checking different boxes. The movement of the VHP has some reeeeally nice features and the brecelet is superb. The dial not soooo much and the case/overall finish one step behind. And although the VHP looks sporty, the gs is way sportier with the compact case and 100m WR. 🧐

There is/was a 36mm clean white VHP as well. I considered it for a while when it was on sale a few months ago (probably clearances of inventory and phasing out). I decided my GS was way nicer 😉

Ah, i know which one... No thanks 🤣 a longines-alternative could be the silver arrow, its bigger (38) and on a leather strap, but gives the same vibes than this GS 🔥

I like them better than the one I had, cleaner looking dial.

Same here. I ended up just putting mine on a Barton silicon strap and actually love it

Bravissimo Zorro: beautiful, really beautiful watch! (But that VHP still fascinates me!).
