That dial is so interesting. It reminds me a lot of my work. Where I work we make carbon parts. One step in the process creates a surface texture and a color a few shades darker that the GS dial. Everytime we complete that step I think of GS. Unfortunately, there is no one at work to share this with that would understand what I am talking about. 😂.

Can't get this watch out of my head. I went a little nuts on GS purchases last year (including a Skyflake) so I keep telling myself to be rational and that I already have an eye-catching spring drive model. It's not helping that my FB feed is full of photos of blooming cherry blossoms.
Great job reporting from Watches and Wonders Zach.

Yah, I went from 0 to 3 GS in a year. They are addictive.
Almost every day is a good day for the SBGA413. It's pretty close to my daily beater. @zachweiss, what's your other Grand Seiko, other than the SBGW275?

The SBGA375 - that was the first one I got, definitely a gateway drug!

Nice. The SBGA413 was my first. My first luxury watch even. I saw it, and knew I had to have it, though it took a few months for that to sink in. I'm plotting my next one, though I keep dithering. It could well be the SBGJ249.

I think the SBGA413 and SBGJ249 look great together. (but I may be a little biased) 😀
That dial is stunning

Here is a bad picture of what it looks like.

My brother just picked one of these up this week. Where did you get your strap from?
And it's a great watch!
Nice strap pairing Zach! I have the winter so I'm partial to the 4 seasons 😍
Amazing!!
This is such a great looking watch! Tried it a couple of weeks ago, and it both looks and feels amazing🌟
That watch comes alive on a leather strap. Stunning dial.

Really considering the new SBGW283 or SBGW285 as my first Grand Seiko but will wait for the Worn and Wound review
Awesome piece - spring is coming boi!!!!!
GS are just so awesome. It would be a tough choice deciding between a GS and a Rolex.

It’s Cherry Blossom time in the DC area. Perfect time for this watch. Great look.

Well, only one is readily available, so that helps!

Aw man, I can't go copying you. But then again, great minds think alike.
Gorgeous dial.
I picked mine up largely because of the uniqueness of the dial and the Spring Drive precision.
Very cool!

I won’t tell anyone. Youre secret’s safe. 😀
Nice watch, I like the way the picture is framed and the outfit you paired the watch with.
Goals! 👏👏
That’s such a classic!!
It is always a good day for such a watch
