Timex “mod” Marlin!
60’s vibe with a modern twist. I am a huge fan of the Timex Marlin line and this one deserves some fanfare too! I am down for that 60’s aesthetic. 39mm is a perfect fit on my 7” wrist. It came on a leather Timex strap which really added to the beatnik vibe, but with the blue hands, I decided to try a matching blue “fossil” rubber strap that I picked up for 10 bucks. Wow!, those blue hands really pop now! For $250 the watch is well finished. It has a worthless am/pm sub dial with a red hand, but from a style perspective looks good, and for whatever reason the date window works on this watch too. What would have made this watch perfect, is if it had a small marlin above the word “marlin” on the dial. However, it is on the back (etched in) which I love looking at as much as I do the front! Overall, this is a great weekender casual watch..and with this blue rubber strap makes it fun to wear!
