Seiko Presage “Mockingbird”

So hard to photograph! I guess there is no anti-glare coating? Nevertheless, I love this watch and I love the entire presage line. The dials are just absolutely stunning! This won’t be my last presage purchase. It comes with a deployment, leather strap (Not my favorite), the color of the strap is a little darker..which looks very nice. I opted for my Timex leather band, because it was lighter color, since I am wearing this today. I can’t change the date on this, if my life depended on it..but I will keep tying!

That's beautiful, especially the dial. I agree - Cocktail Times are almost impossible to photograph. Is the Mockingbird the one with the gilt seconds hand?

I love my Seiko Bellini. I'm so grateful that Seiko produced some 34mm Cocktail Times marketed as a women's watches but in classical men's dress watch sizes. It means a vintage fiend like me can enjoy that unique dial!

That's really nice. Would look so much better with Arabic numbers (*ducks, backs slowly out of room....).

I really like that picture. Sometimes the AR robs us of these 'happy accidents' (my art mentor's favourite phrase).

Yes. The second hand is “gilt” golden. I am with you, I am a sucker for vintage.

I do like me Arabic numerals. However, with the style of the dial, I think the design team made the correct choice with this one. Someone complimented my watch today. They said “that is a clean looking watch” I took it as yes, the simple toothpick “numbers” and that beautiful green dial..make this watch simple, but elegant, dare I say, regale? I think numerals would really distract from the dial..it’s a cocktail watch..simple, with a beautiful chill vibe. I will say, the Bulova, Frank Sinatra watch, I posted a few days ago..has a similiar dial design and it has intermittent numerals on the dial..it really works well with that design, because I look at that watch as a daytime driver, having a nice lunch somewhere, that design works with that kinda vibe.

Really!? I tried the best I could, I made sure greenery was in the background, and that I positioned the watch with the least amount of glare, where it looks like the dial is popping. Thank You. :)

The color and the angled hands and indices are beautiful to look at...easy on the eyes for sure.
