Good morning watch fam! Preparing for Sunday lunch with friends. I didn’t want a very formal dress watch though so I will be wearing my Glycine Airman Vintage The Chief GMT. First launched in 1953. It was branded by Glycine as a watch for the Navy, and its nickname was taken by the US Navy grade of Chief Petty Officer. There were only 25 made from the original The Chief. This reissue is powered by Glycine GL293 movement which is essentially an ETA2893-2/SW330, operating at 28,800 bph (4 Hertz) with hacking and hand winding capabilities. It has a 24-hour layout which makes telling time different than conventional watches. A real fun watch to own and find information about! Wishing you all a restful and cozy Sunday!

Since this is the GMT version, it’s more of a GMT than a 24-hour watch. Love the look of the Purist.
