The Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto takes CW to a new level...

I received my CW C1 Bel Canto today and I am very impressed. Hands on video up now on my YouTube channel WatchChris

Only change I would make is an upgrade to grade 5 titanium... either way this thing is beautiful and it looks way higher-end than the price tag would suggest. What are your thoughts?

*** Correction this is a grade 5 ti watch so... It's awesome.

Awesome!  Congrats!!!

·

Super excited to get mine later in the month! The case is grade 5 right? Just the strap is grade 2. I went for leather myself..

·

Looks great, congrats.

·

thats fast, congratulations

·

That was fast! Congrats!!

·

Congrats on a quite unique timepiece!

·

Congrats ..though to be honest not my cup of tea

·

Congrats

·

Great YouTube video too.

Question. When it comes to bargain haute horology. This or your MAD 1? (Ignoring the difference in value of course.)

·

Congratulations. Looks nice.

·

Looking from the outside the Bel Canto gives a lot of MB&F legacy machine vibes for a fraction of the price, where as the MAD1 is a very  cool piece that gives the some of the fun of an MB&F while in no danger of being confused for one.

Does anybody know if they had it at Windup Watch Fair a few weeks back? How could I have missed it? Its really gorgeous! They did a great job with it - especially at that price point

·

I love Christopher Ward watches. I have five going back for about 12 years. In this case, though I can't escape the impression that I'm looking at a grinning cyclops. To each his/her own.

·

I love how CW decided to forgo applying a logo on this one

·

Congratulations - certainly looks like a cool watch.

Curious - is the chime loud enough that you'd actually hear it in most "normal" environments? Also, do you feel any vibration when the hour chimes.

·

Who the hell are you, WatchChris that you got yours before I got mine?  Andrew from Watchfinder got his already as well.  Did you pay for yours or do they just want you to promote the watch on YouTube? Just curious, what number did you get?

They had it hidden at Wind up watch fair.  They only brought it out for me to see when I asked the product designer when they were going to make me a $7500.00 minute repeater which is my question to every watch maker.

·

Hi Chris, although the bracelet is made with grade 2 titanium, the watch case is made from grade 5 titanium.

That's a really hard question. The mad 1 is made by MB&F so I would have to go that way. But overall design, I think that the CW looks and wears better... Complication-wise I think it wins out also.

·

Wow!  that was FAST

Looks amazing, new daily wear?  The hour chime is awesome, but wonder if it'll sorta grind on you after a few weeks?

My suggestion for all watches is that they should be changed to Ti, so I'm with ya there.  (If they are already Ti then maybe go for carbon😜).  My other suggest on this watch is it needs a second hand, or balance wheel glimpse, or anything that can show me life in the movement.

All in all, looks very high falutin like an MBandF or similar.  Score!

That’s a pretty good result  for CW!

·

Congratulations! Wear it in the best of health and get ready to be approached by strangers. It’s definitely a conversation piece.

·

Congratulations! Definitely next level for CW and I love Titanium everything

·

Looks great!  Congratulations!

They… sort of did. They were only showing it around to a few people since they just had a prototype. I stopped by and engaged one of their designers, diving into a few questions about their history and design and started talking to them about the trade association they were part of. One thing led to another and they took me aside to show me the Bel Canto. It was goeg and I’m very glad to have seen it in the metal.

·

Super cool watch, you own an amazing piece of engineering and history in my opinion.

·

I recently made a deposit for my purchase. I was wondering if they will release an updated version of the second generation shortly after.

If anyone has any information, I would be very grateful if you could share it with me.
