Sinn City

I've been lusting over Sinn ITC in polar white for a couple of days following a Teddy video. An unpretentious GMT with stunning good looks that flies under the radar. The leather strap with orange stitching is a nice touch as well. Price tag: about $2,000. Thoughts?

I’ve been wanting one of these since I saw it advertised at my favourite online AD at the end of last year. But it’s just nudging my the top end of my budget, so I’ve resisted so far.

Always liked this watch, but it’s top end of my budget, and there are other $2k watches I’d likely buy over this. That being said, I did end up buying an RZE Ascentus last year. It’s different enough that it’s not an homage, but it definitely scratches the UTC itch for me. And at $500 I can highly recommend it.

(Full lumed dial too!)

Sinn UTC is awesome.

I gotta try one on myself.

It’s a caller, not traveler, UTC correct?

Caller, as far as I can tell...

·

I really like the GMT function of the 105, but the styling never spoke to me. Kinda looks Apple watchy. I wish Sinn would make a 104 GMT. If you aren't thrilled with it then I would look elsewhere.

·

Love it! Very clean

·

Love it. It isn’t perfect but you will be pleased. I would not get the bracelet until the clasp is updated. Otherwise works great on any leather or nato. Go for it!!

That’s what turned me off to it. Decided to keep saving for a Polar E2.

That’s what I though as well until I bought one. The quickset date on the caller far outstrips the jump hour to me.

I'd love an E2, but the premium is a bit steep!

·

I have 2 Sinns and love them both. Grab one -they’re ace!

·

Seems like a good price for a good looking watch,if you love the look you can’t go wrong with Sinn quality,go fo it.

·

I will most certainly be buying a Sinn. You don’t know how close I was to pulling the trigger on a 856UTC the other night even though I can’t comfortably afford it. I somehow found the discipline to tell myself to save up for one instead of borrowing from my 401k to pay for it. The Tegimented steel is part of why I want one, besides being made in Germany (where my grandmother was from.) the idea of having a watch 10years old and still looking brand new is kinda attractive. If you like that model the best you should get it!

·

I have the black one. It is a great watch. The leather strap is stiff when new but breaks in nice. I wear mine most on tan NATO.

·

Sinn is a great brand. I enjoy my two and would gladly buy another

I cross time zones far more often than date lines😉

That’s why I’m still saving. Also, Rolex doesn’t think I’m cool enough to buy one 😂

·

Maaaaaan this one is looking sharp as hell ! The world have to put some respect on sinn

·

Well cheaper than a Rolex but for sure it’s a well built watch and the Germans don’t make junk. I myself want a Sinn. I see what you mean 2 Gs it’s steep.

·

It is striking
