Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
disappointed with Apple Ultra 1 smart watch. why would anyone make such a high tech device with killer screen and relegate it to such lame graphics and weak color palettes? couldnt stand to look at it anymore.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
probably some 80's Unisonic that played the horn from The General Lee (Dukes of Hazzard).
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Not really. Sorry, no legacy heirlooms here, and all of my adventuring watches were worn out and cast away.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
do your research. minimize impulse buying if possible. save up for watches--dont max out your credit cards. buy the watches YOU love, regardless of what others think.
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
NOS or serviced vintage. zodiac, islander, accutron, bulova, seiko, grand seiko, melbourne, traska, spinnaker, lorier
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
undecided. thought about Grand Seiko, but their designs aren’t compelling to me. i probably just 'don't get it.'
