As an infected BB58 collector, I’m biased. Both watches have their thing, I do love the Roulette date wheel for example on the Lorier. The BB58 is overall better finished, I’d say on every level. But if it is more charming to wear fake ribbet oyster style or vintage flatlink is up to you. Only advice I can give you is to try it on and see if it gives you the fun and feeling of achievement you have been looking for.
If you have the BB58 on your wrist and there’s a hint of doubt - screw everyone else and their opinions. Than you have found the right watch with your Lorier and I’d say enjoy a perfect and memorable holiday with the money. Might not pass that along to the next generation like the Tudor though 😁
