DOXA Sharkhunter. What's your favorite DOXA Sub color?

DOXA watches are known for their colorful dials. The DOXA Sharkhunter, which features a matte black dial, is the most restrained colorway in the Sub collection, making it the most versatile option among them. Despite the common dislike for divers on leather straps among many, I have no problem wearing them on leather (like this Full-Stitch Black), as I'm not actually going diving - just like most of the people who comment on this matter.

What's your favorite DOXA Sub color?

Orange is the new black 😉

If I ever get a Doxa, it’s going to be the Sub 300T in orange.

·

I like them all in their own way. I went with the Professional as my first. I heard there was some kinda unwritten rule that if I didn’t, one of three things would happen:

1) DOXA fanboys would rappel through my windows in the dark of night and smash my… I mean, my kid’s Lego sets.

2) Clive Cussler’s ghost would come haunt me until I read all the Dirk Pitt novels.

3) Peter McClean Millar would to use his doctoral credentials to have me locked in an insane asylum.

The choice was an easy one to make.

600T. #orange dial. Black bezel. @Adamasuta orange IS indeed the new black...

I went with the 600T sharkhunter, but the 300T definitely needs to be a professional 🙂

Aquamarine in the black carbon case or yellow in the regular steel 😊

·

I really dig the tangerine dial

This one for sure. Maybe in blue, need to see them in person

Had the Sub 300 Searambler for a bit. I liked how the sunburst silver dial matched the overall feeling of the aged design. Wore a bit big on me, though. I think some more color contrast may have helped that. I would go shark or pro next time. Darn cool watch.

Have recently spoken with Doxa’s Marketing and Sales director, he explained that according to their descriptive statistics :

  • each geographic sales area have different tastes in their palette of colours.

From what he said :

  • Western market is familiar with the heritage and history of the brand, wether Clive Cussler’s Novels, Cousteau’s infiuence or just the OG Doxa advertising. Will always prefer the Professional and Sharkhunter versions.

  • Australia, on the other hand, prefers brighter colours, aquamarine and divingstar.

  • Northern Europe has a preference for darker colours, Caribbean and Sharkhunter.

  • Otherwise, most of customers go with “neutral” colours.

In my case, I bought the Sub 200 in its Sharkhunter version. I didn’t knew when I would be financially capable to buy another watch & I wanted a versatile piece. (Switzerland here)

Cheers to the Doxa Gang

The real question is… when’s the Swatch variant coming out?

·

That stark contrast of the white Pearl takes it for me.

·

Gotta be the orange dial, for summer
