So after several years i finall got to go into a Seiko Boutique and try on several Grand Seikos.
The sales people were absolutely lovely and true watch enthousiastes which is obviously nice.
The dress watches are very nice (SBGW231 is simple but beautiful and i see the value) but, am I the only one still preferring the swiss offerings when it comes to daily sports watches? (Typically an Omega AT)

Uh maybe, I want both equally (Omega Seamaster AT and a GS Spring Drive) 😂
Ah clickbait, thought you actually bought a GS. I’m down with the AT too.
I went Omega too. For me Seiko sweet spot is around £1000.
It’s funny you mention omega and grand seiko in the same sentence. Both companies are rudderless, lacking a clear vision. Take the omega worldtimer, it’s targeting a niche market to begin with, then you have 9 variants of the same. GS does this with SGBW and with all the forest lake mountain versions of the same watch. Both omega and GS lack vision, and a pricing strategy. But they make excellent watches. JLC has a similar problem with some of their products like reverso.

Very good point

Ohh nooo sorry ! I hate to disappoint

Don't come back until you buy that GS. 🤣
It took me a while to wrap my head about GS too. So many choices and different movement types. The Swiss brands all use the traditional mechanicals. That's why I think GS should primarily focus on their Spring Drive. That's their major differentiator. Maybe some few models with high beat movements.
Get a GS, I promise you won't regret it!
I was blown away when I first had hands on with a grand seiko. I was able to review two on my YouTube channel.

I will 100% be getting one and almost did I was going back and forth on a Gs or a Panerai and I settled on a Panerai for a few different reasons. GS will probably be next.
