Hi. I travel a decent amount, and have been considering an affordable GMT. The watches I'm considering are:
Seiko SSK - But I think it's too big
Mido Ocean Star - But it is a bit over budget
Lorier Hyperion - But it doesn't have a sapphire crystal
What am I missing? Any thoughts on these? Tell me your thoughts :)

Tsao Baltimore Legacy GMT
Traska Venturer GMT
Baltic Aquascaphe GMT
off the top of my head
A watch that uses the movement in the SSK but is 39mm is the Phoibos Voyager gmt. Also retails cheaper than the Seiko.

Good ones! I just got a regular Aquascaphe, so I'm good there, but I like the Traska idea, thanks.
Have you tried the Ssk’s? My brother who has a wrist wears it everyday?!

I haven't... might need to try it on.

It wears small… it’s worth trying out …
Good point... I'm definitely not in a hurry, so I may wait it out a bit.

I haven’t seen one in person, but it gets good reviews. Here’s one by Random Rob: https://youtu.be/QZ4062kPxOI

under $60.00 USD for a Swiss Ronda 5 series GMT
The best travel watch I have isn't even labeled as a GMT. For me the GW-M5610U is perfect in the role of a travel companion: It tracks 5 time zone and changing between them and the home time is absurdly easy. It has alarm, timer and chrono functions for those who want or need them and its most important qualities are comfort (once taken off the stiff plastic fantastic strap and fitted with a combi-bracelet), being magnetometer friendly, and inconspicuous: nobody will know how loaded or broke you are when you wear a square.

I have one of those!
The Seiko 5 GMT lug to lug is only 46mm and it wears smaller than you think. Especially if you considered Mido Oceanstar GMT which is a 44mm case with 51mm lug to lug.
You can check out Nodus and the new Zelos Blacktip GMT.

Thanks for the info... As far as the Mido, I'm referring to the Hodinkee version which is 40mm.
Just arrived!

Definitely go to an AD and try on the Seiko before looking elsewhere. It wears very slightly bigger than an SKX007. I got one new for less than 70% of RRP and was more impressed with it than I expected. For me the only negatives are cyclops, lack of sapphire and pressed clasp - but bracelet is good and it’s very comfortable to wear due to thin clasp. I wouldn’t suggest paying full RRP - if there’s no deals available currently, just be patient as they will come.
