Just ordered my first SM. Anxiously awaiting delivery.

·

Not sure San Martin can claim much credit for its beauty

Is this titanium?

There’s homages and then there’s copies..

You mean improvements?

SanMartin made a 39mm Pelagos that kept the original 42mm DNA with the 3D slotted rehaut while Tudor were lazy and made a flat dial without rehaut. 😉

I have a SM as a daily beeter. It is what it is.

Same same but different..... If the patents have expired its fair game,

There’s not a patent on design elements. I’m guessing San Martin skipped out on the Kenese movement though.

San Martin do Tudor looks with Seiko reliability supported by good fit and finish. Tudor has the same snowflake hands as Longines so the look is not exclusive. The Swiss are not above the copy and paste habit.

·

Beautiful and sensible! I like it!
