Finally able to post my new release!

Hi guys,

The wait is finally over, for you guys to see the new release but also for me to finally be able to talk about the Antigua!

As promised I would share them here. Meet the Antigua 'Miho Black' and 'Soft Sand'.

The Antigua is named and inspired after the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta in the Carribean. A classic regatta oozes finesse, luxury and it's extremely challenging in terms of physique and tactics.

This combined with the Vintage Landeron 248 caliber was a win to me. I have done my best to blend in the inspiration of the regatta with the DNA of Méraud.

I wanted the dial stand out but not too much so it was truely trial and error playing with the colors. I opted for pastel colors as they are pleasing to the eye and they bring calming vibes. I feel it adds a certain way of sophistication to the watch.

The tachymeter font is inspired by the Art Deco movement, I wanted to have a timeless font blending in with a contemporary feel. The outer tachymeter and inside of the subdials are on a lower plate (it's a double layered dial) adding depth. Dauphine hands for legibility, yes, polished, I love it and faceted dial indexes that are polished as well. At the dial indexes I also added applied lume dots (Swiss SuperLuminova).

I'll stop about all the details because I could keep writing about it!

With production now taking place in Switzerland, the collaboration with Molequin and the use of this vintage caliber I feel it's a next step for the brand but also myself. It's a great evolution and it feels like Méraud growing up.

Anyhow, I'd love to hear your thoughts! A few reviews will drop the coming days, I'm looking forward to reading them as well.

Love the watch and I like the use of colorway on the sub dials. The exhibition case back is really nicely sized to appreciate that movement.

Can't wait to hear more about your watches!

Cheers!

Proficiat Stijn for these amazing releases. I am dangerously close to order one although I am not suppose to keep on spending money on watches right now😅

Wow - the Soft Sand is an absolutely beautiful watch. The typeface selected is absolutely gorgeous. My wallet is absolutely on fire right now. Will there be a non-limited release of the Antigua? September is so far away. 😂

congrats and I suspect you will get some great reviews.

Thanks a lot, the typeface was so important. This is a special release to me so chances are very very small to produce a non limited variant. 7 months fly! 😝

Thanks you! Fingers crossed but I’m convinced by my work 😃

I love your naming convention. The Caribbean Islands hold a dear place in my heart. Lovely watches with a beautiful movement!

I love both versions. My only wish is that the size was more authentic to the vintage style (e.g. 36-38mm). But I realize I'm probably in the minority here.

Thank you!

Wow, gorgeous! The design of both of these are a triumph...I'd be hard pressed to choose a favorite, tho I find the Soft Sand particularly eye catching. Congrats!
