Another watch I only know from homage land, But a true classic!
Yes, and I got these before the homage and reissue were a thing, and honestly I wore it a lot more back in the day, the reissues took some of the joy away from owning the original
Wow, does that bring back memories. My Dad was a scuba diver starting in the early 1970s and had a Seiko diver. I spent my entire childhood playing with that bezel.
That is gorgeous, it’s in such great condition it looks like you picked it up a year or two ago.
I've owned it for many years, can't remember exactly, maybe 6 or 7 years, but a few years ago I had it fully restored by Spencer Klein who specializes in these.
Your watch is my age, but the Seiko aged a lot better than me😂
I've noticed the Seikos from the 70s have held up better than the Rolex from the 70s. I once heard that these cost around $75 back then and the Rolex Sub was around $150, that might have been late 60s early 70s.

Me too, I also have a speedtimer from 1975.
Seriously cool watch. Looks like a nice shape to the crystal.
My birth year. Mmm, some research beckons😂

Yeah I'm 1976, so these are close but missed the mark

Nothing better than a 70s Seiko... and I've seen just a few 😉
A classic! And gorgeous photography - that shot in the hand looks like a legit product shot!

Pure class with the waffle strap. Awesome!
I agree, this watch looks best on the waffle strap. 💪

That's a great pair of Seikos, regardless of the reissues or homages!
Ooh!
Beautiful piece

I've tried other straps, but keep going back to this one.

Thanks, I should enjoy it more, it has been a safe queen the last few years.
