Ive seen this on multiple occasions. I just wanted to ask why someone would do that? Is it to track more than one timezone?

Watches to many is jewelry. You see a lot of folks wearing two or more rings. I say..."Don the mighty watch twice...but oh my goodness...not more than thrice!"

·

Third watch is the charm.

Are you seeing literally two watches like Norman Schwarzkopf? Or an Apple Watch on one and mechanical on the other? The later is obvious, they want the fitness traccking abilities, but also appreciate mechanical watches. Not for me, but I get it.  I have not seen anyone in person seriously wearing two mechanical watches. Not saying it doesn’t happen, but highly rare.  Norman Schwarzkopf used to do so because he travelled so often he wanted one for each time zone. He couldn’t be bothered learning how to read a GMT.

dual time 🤣

Marc from Long Island Watch almost always wears 2. I don’t see why this is so taboo. Pretty much everything goes nowadays anyway. Why not 2 watches? Who cares?

Yes I totally get the upsides to something like an Apple Watch. But I meant two mechanical watches

I don't think its a taboo I just didn't understand and was wondering if there might be a reason for this. I guess because it is quite unusual it looks a little silly to me but Im not telling anyone what to do or not to do

I've seen it mentioned many times as if it's an unthinkable faux pas. But it seems to me like a pretty reasonable thing for an enthusiast to do.

My other hobby is paranormal investigation, like the guys on TV. I had an experience where my quartz analog watch stopped for the same amount of time I was running an audio recorder. Since that incident, I have worn a mechanical watch and a quartz one. When I remember to pack one of each. Haven't had a stoppage like that since but it could happen again.

Most of what I see with those wearing two watches is one has more of a medical stance. Example is a fellow the other day. He said one tracks heartbeat, steps, etc the other was he goes too for the time. It was a shinola. Before I knew all this, I had joked with his wife about.. Welp,  No wrist watch a father's  day gift this year..lol

·

Where I grew up back then if you wear two or more watches meant you was cool, pimp or you got it good like that.

·

Yeah, I remember back in the 80's folks having a Swatch for each wrist, they just stack that shit up like leg warmers or something, being all "Let's get physical, physical",with the blinding Miami Vice shorts and terrible Sun In bleach job. Long live the 80's, bad decisions from A to Zubba

·

I sometimes wear two watches. One is my regular watch and the other would be a unit that I've just worked on and I want to make sure it keeps going while being worn.

·

One Galaxy 4 for health reasons, the other for the experience.  Simple.

·

The only time I have 2 watches on is when I'm at the comfort of my own home & no one else can see 😂
