New Diver Decisions and Collection Context. HELP!

Here is the Thing I am very happy with my collection at the moment. I got my Baby alpinist which I use most often as a every day wear and beater because it can handle almost anything (if I know my activity is going to damage a watch i just dont wear one).

Then my Traska Venturer GMT which I use for traveling, dressing up or just when i fell like it. Before this watch I wasn’t a fan of steel bracelets but the comfort of this watch is simply unmatched.

And last but not least my Suggess Chrono. While I love the look and especially looking at the gorgeous movement. I find myself reaching for it very rarely. Maybe because it isnt very accurate or maybe because it is missing a date. I dont really know but I have some money saved up and I think its time to replace the Chrono. Since I have been craving a diver since I sold my Seiko 5 Sports diver I am looking into that Direction.

Actual Question:

I am looking for a Diver and I have some preferences and suggestions but I am hoping to be inspired by some of you.

My preferences:

40mm I think will suit me best (7” wrist) I love my 38mms but for a diver i want to go bigger

A bit WR would be nice but 100m is totally fine

A date

Black or blue or maybe white dial so classic

500-3000€ something in that range I am willing to go above if i love it.

All of the above are debatable

Here are some watches I like:

I invite you to have a closer look at the Longines Hydroconquest GMT.

Every collection needs a dive watch.

If you are not wearing a watch, then I tend to not rationalise it too much. Sometimes we lose touch with a watch and thats ok. At times like these it pays dividends to have a watch that holds its value so we can flip them.

On the diver watch itself, I own a Sinn 104 and have owned the 65 (a few times). The Oris is not tough enough as a daily diver. I scratched mine up quite badly, the 65 is a lovely watch and very fun to wear,, very cool on wriost and the tropic strap is next level, but not as a primary diver. The Sinn is rock solid, a tank, but its not a diver per se.

My advice, EVERY watch collection needs a Seiko dive watch. Its just a watch commandment.
