Rado Captain Cook Bronze

...or when bling isn't bling but weirdly understated.

I know! I really thought this watch would be way too blingy for me but there's something about it that pushes it towards coordinated and considered rather than ostentatious. Somehow.

What are the general Cruncher thoughts on this particular lump of colour?

Yep thats why i prefer steel the bronze patina is not for me

Not blingy at all, IMO. Almost bought a green one on my last cruise. Don't forget to shake it lightly to move the anchor down!

That is a beautiful Watch

I'm a fan! It's a great way to test if Rose Gold is for you hehe

Yeah. I wonder how long that'll take. Ive had a bronze Seagull 1963 for about 11 months and it's mega changed. But it didn't look like this from new. And apparently this alloy of bronze that Rado uses is 'more' resistant to the oxidation of other bronze watches. Either way it'll be interesting to see it develop.

Love the look of that watch and the fact that it's named "Captain Cook" in honor of the legendary English explorer, who just so happened to have mapped my ancestral part of Kanuckistan back in the mid-1700's ... outstanding!

The color combo is fantastic. I'd like to see more watches get this treatment.
