Not really an upgrade. Cost more money and still hardlex crystal and it’s 37mm.

·

I’d love to handle one to see if the case finishing is nicer than the old 5s. I always thought that was the weak point

Yes and the bracelet

·

I just bought two SNXS to upgrade myself. I love ‘em, 37mm and all. I’ll have to check these out.. 👍🏻

Hmmm. Searches on those model numbers come up empty. Where did you see them?

UPDATE: Just found the Hodinkee article. Not available in the U.S. yet… Yes, 400€ seems a bit pricey. 💸

And that's the right price for a Seiko 5. Seiko 5s are awesome, but not 400€ awesome.

·

Damn it seiko you keep pulling me back in

·

Reminds me of the great 5's of old, only with an NH36, actual water resistance and probably a halfway serviceable bracelet. So, I'm not disappointed. 👍

·

I dig these but I'm honestly more excited by the case size/shape as a platform and excited to see what other dials and movement variations end up in there.

·

Finally

·

I would have preferred if they had done this to the snk models with the less pointed lugs but honestly I'm kind of happy, not happy enough to pay that price, but happy enough to get one used for around £100 - 150.

·

They look crazy but I won‘t spend 400€ on a watcg without saphire. One bump and the look is ruined :(

I've yet to scratch a mineral myself and I wear the hell out of my watches

·

Yeah, I‘m the opposite of that. Mine are full of scratches after like a year :(

·

I got the chance to try these on today and they are really fantastic up close. The bracelet is a big upgrade from the original (all solid links, nicely brushed and polished), the dial finishing is super crisp, and they just fit beautifully.

I'm planning on grabbing one as soon as it's available for sale, probably the champagne dial....
