A Short Visit to Baltic Showroom in London

Today, I had a chance to swing by the Baltic showroom in the Central London, right near Oxford Circus. Super cozy spot!

Went there aiming to scope out a dress watch for my graduation. But, oh man, I got completely hooked on their dive watches and the Hermetique line. Especially the limited edition – that is just something else. And that blue is also nice. Stunning. Started the day thinking about dress watches, but now, all I can think about is dive watch or Hermetique🤣

What do you guys think? Stick to the plan or dive into the watch craze?

That MR01 is stunning

·

Why not both? 😜

·

That first one with the small seconds looks great. Got a little vintage vibe to it with a modern take.

·

I really like the third one. Dive watches - not my style, not my thing. What is your thing though is not for us to decide.

·

Don’t stick to the plan …buy both 😎

·

Baltic dress watches are unmatched at their price point but you have other choices when it comes to divers IMO. Lorier for example.

·

Hermetique is half dressy anyway... 😁

·

I have their diver and like it a lot. But like Clive said there are other competitors that make similar divers but not others that make similar dress watches. My advice is that if money is an issue buy nicer of what you will wear most of the time and spend less on what you will wear less often.

Side note first the guy at that boutique is so lovely! Kind of odd to get into but such a friendly experience! I've got the MR01 and the GMT love both of them. Always comes down to budget and when you're wearing it, if it's a daily I think the hermetique is a great choice

·

I really like the Hermetique and the 03. Do they sell watches from the London showroom or do they still ship from France?

Sector dail looks on point

You can buy in the boutique usually have decent stock of models in

They have such a nice space there, Baudoin is super cool to hang out with.

Last time I was there I ended up going on chrono24 and buying an MR01 😅

·

Nice! Looks fantastic. I have been meaning to visit - can I ask what the prices are in the flesh vs the website? Im looking at an Aquascaphe too

·

Prices are the same

·

I would love to see a square/rectangular watch by Baltic they have such a good style

·

MR01 you won’t regret it, it’s a beautiful watch and wait until you add different colored straps that dial pops. It is one of my favorites on rotation

The price is OK but with 20% tax on top it's a bit more than I would want to pay, I'll have to give them a call.

I just got my Hermetique Glacier. It’s my 3rd Baltic already and I absolutely love the look. Very happy to hear that the London showroom sounds as cozy and friendly as the Paris one.

I got the dual crown as one of my first watches and have loved it ever since.

My tip is to take your time! Don’t dive into buying right after a boutique visit. Make sure the time is right and you’ll cherish the watch and the memory together for a lot longer.

Glacier Black is stunning! Congrats on a great choice! To be honest, if this version were freely available, I would buy it without a second thought. 😊and thanks for the advice, I guess I’ll take some time as you suggest
