Seiko 5 SRPE53
This is my second Seiko and I love it. I originally was going to get the black sunburst face with the gilded hands and indices but, I didn’t have any blue watches in my collection. I bought this on sale from TheLuxuryDirect.com which was on impulse. It took almost a month to arrive and after 3 weeks with no shipping info I started to worry. It finally arrived with the warranty card from Seiko and was even nicer in person. As seiko is the bracelet was definitely the weak part of it. Very squeaky, no half links and only 2 micro adjustments. 20mm lug width made throwing a leather strap on it easy and looks great.

I saw one clasp with 4 microadjusment holes. Too bad that this one only had two. I don’t understand why the Japanese brands do that so much! But I guess it’s better than the Swiss, who only seem to think that the butterfly clasp is the only way to do it 🙄

I’ve already received the Super Louis-J jubilee bracelet by Strapcode that I will use to replace the Seiko bracelet. I am also awaiting the arrival of the AR-coated, sapphire crystal and a signed crown from namokimods.

Did you also order from the same site? I kept looking at reviews and it was about 50/50 that it was a scam website others said totally legit. It was the first time buying from a site that wasn’t Jomashop.
It wasn’t the same site. It was a site I’ve ordered from before when I purchased a Seiko Recraft. (designeroptics). Upon receipt of my email, they responded promptly and apologized that the watch was out of stock amd therefore it would be sent directly from the manufacturer.
I was thinking of purchasing a Tissot PRX chrono from theluxurydirect because the price was very good but after reading the uneven reviews, I decided against it. Glad you received your watch.

I have the gilt dial SRPE57 and having a hard time connecting with it. More and more I wish I had gotten the blue dial.
Very nice. Watches like these crush my desire to get a Tudor BB Heritage. Better movement and materials in the Tudor I’m sure but you get the same look.

For the money, the SRPE are one of the best range of watches you can buy interns of quality and looks. I'm my opinion may I add.
Thats a beauty! I'm really pleased with my Seiko 5 - such a nice watch, and didn't cost a fortune. This strap looks like a nato but actually has a normal buckle and attaches to the lugs - from an online UK store called Thrifty Gentlemen.
The SRPE is 20mm lug? I would not have guessed as my SRPD is 22mm lol

Yeah 20mm lug width so no shortage of extra straps that I already had.
