Mighty Morphin Power Hammy

I bought this before I asked to buy the Seamaster Polaris (which the hunt for is still on, by the way) and I couldn't be happier.

The dial on this Hamilton plays with light like a kid plays with their toys. It's in constant motion, morphing from one color to the next. From browns, to grays, and gold, this dial puts out a multitude of hues. It's quite an exceptional little piece. It hits that sweet spot of 34mm that's just right for my wrist. The decagonal bezel gives it a sporty feel while the rest of the brushed and polished case keeps it a bit classy.

I'm glad I stumbled upon it and was able to win the auction. This one's undoubtedly going into rotation. Happy Friday crunchers!

Thank you. I'm glad I found this scouring the bay, and it was very affordable. I'm very happy with it.

I have never seen such Hamilton? Great find! Do you know when it was made by chance?

I don’t unfortunately. Sometime in the 80s is my guess. It’s hard to pin down Hamiltons from that decade as they had already stopped making catalogs by that time. I suppose I could reach out to Hamilton and see if they can provide information on the piece.

That would be interesting. I wonder even if Hamilton now Swiss are able to find detail of the Old American models? No idea how that might work out! I only have one vintage watch ( a Soviet Pobeda) thus far in my modest collection but I'm finding the old stuff more and more interesting  especially as some is surprisingly affordable!

Agreed on affordability. This piece was $51 USD. The old stuff is what drives me to collect. I like hunting for unique and interesting pieces. I like the Soviet watches. I have yet to add one to the collection. As for what information Hamilton could come up with, I'm not sure. I would think they have records of what they produced over the years.
